Looks like both ETH and XRP are hitting highs.
Rule of thumb - buy low sell high. I myself wouldnt be buying it at the moment.

I never really understand why people cannot afford BTC.
You don't have to buy an entire BTC, you can buy it in fractions so it really doesn't make that much difference to affordability

If you want to HODL Ethereum long term, this would be a good time to buy. It's definitely going to be one to keep an eye out for.
For short term trades - I'd wait for a correction.

I paid 750 for 1 coin today inc fees etc, fo you feel I paid too much?
What does a short term trade mean? Let the price drop then buy more cheap OR sell when you’ve made some profit and bank the profit in your wallet? Quote:

If the answer is a week or two, make a quick profit, sell it, then you've over paid. Always wise to buy cheap, sell high.
If it's HODL for a few years, then i'd say you've paid a good price as I see value rising over time (contingent upon things panning out for the technology). But that's just my opinion. You'd need to do your own research and conclude for yourself.

I like ETH as it’s the portal to other alt coins. I could see the demand decrease as more exchanges adopt other coins as ways to buy alt coins. I am highly speculative on what will be accepted next at coinbase. Mainstream buyers will buy what’s on coinbase. Any coin added to the exchange will rise fast just by shear number of new potential buyers. I would look at marketcap to get Good idea on what’s next. Oh and roumers.

I think Zcash is a coin to watch. Even tho its priced at $530 a coin its way under priced compared to its market cap vs. coins in circulation vs. cap on total coins to be created. Plus Zk Snarks is a good privacy tech, its not just a **** coin. Its more like a testnet for Bitcoin to see if they want to implement Zk Snarks in the future.
ETH is going to be a good long term hold. Its the first coin to use smart contracts just like bitcoin was the first, and the Ethereum foundation has more than enough money to hire the smartest people on the planet. Ethereum has some really good partner ships going.
I suggest having 50% of your portfolio in BTC... 25% in ETH and the other 25% in other top 10 coins. Its a safe bet, not a make a million in a month bet. In all reality most of the top ten coins are **** coins with a good marketing strategy and great P.R. and some dont even have a working product.

At this level it's way too expensive in fees and transactions take ages. IMO tthese currencies are thought to be used to pay stuff and receive payments. With these fees BTC is practically out of the market. Thus I only invest in alt coins such as ETH with manageable fees. Another option would be they find a way to lower the fees for BTC transactions in the near future.
Lets say you want to buy some blow or porn or a t-shirt worth 20 bucks, you'll have to put on another 10 bucks in fees to make the transaction reasonably fast.
Correct me if I am wrong.

I agree, mainstream buyers are go with Coinbase and whatever coins gets added to Coinbase will always increase in value because Coinbase has a vast number of users and people trust it more than others.
Whats roumers? Quote:

What is happening now, is all kinds of coins are coming out jumping onto the Crypto bandwagon, some with fail and not be accepted into the mainstream.
Bitcoin, Ether, Lite Coin are my safe bets so far and all on Coinbase.
Coinbase appears to add only coins in which it see long term potential. Quote:
