1,000Kh/s = 1Mh/s You must have meant 100Mh/s... Which you would need 3 GTX 1070 Ti's for. They get 33-34Mh/s per card overclocked and only use 110-120 watts of power each.
Which would net you $100 a week at current prices mining ETH....
Approx cost is <$2k for 3 GPU rig. My 9 card rig cost me >$5k
cards = $449 x 3= $1,347
mother board = $150
1 EVAG 1000w G2 PSU = $175
8gb Memory = $90
Intel G-44 CPU = $50
x3 Risers = $30
120gb ssd = $75
Your better off going with a 1070. They have 8gb of memory and will be able to mine for years to come. ETH's Dag file is 3gb right now. Soon the 4gb GPU's like the GTX 1050 and 4gb 1060 will not work any more for ETH because they will not have enough memory.
Also if every thing goes to hell you will have a easier time reselling a 1070 to a gamer.
I'd go for the Zotac GTX 1070 Ti mini for $449. Zotac>EVGA>Gigabyte is the order of best brands. You will get the best hash rate to power ratio off the GTX 1070 Ti. Nvidia is easier to set up than AMD. Nvidia works straight out the box and are easy to over clock.
In all reality you will not want to stop buying GPU's once you start so your best bet is to get the ASUS B250 mining expert 19 PCIe slot mother board off rip. That way you can add up to 13 GPU's in Windows on that board. Its also cheaper to add more GPU's than buy every thing else you'd need to make another rig.
You need 8GB of DDR4 Memory.
At least a dual core Intel Pentium G-4400 CPU. (you can mine Monero or Electronium (cryptonight algo) off CPU so you could think about getting a 4.1GHz I3 possessor too if its worth it to you) I have the G-4400 and am mining Electronium with my CPU's on my 2 rigs. I'm making about 100 ETN a month. ETN is at 8 cents at current price but its new and could easily see $1 this year. A I3 prossessor with 4 cores and 6mb of catche would mine better but its 3x the price of a dual core G-44.
Your also going to want to be able to remote access into your rig with Teamviewer or VNC and that needs to run off the onboard video not GPU. I have to set my Cryptonight miner to only use 1 core of my dual core G-44 because of this.
For power I would go with EVGA. Dont get Corsair... Desktop PSU's arent made to run 24/7 and EVGA makes a better PSU. I would get the 1000w EVGA G2 or G3. They come with 6 VGA power rails so you could power x6 8 pin or dual 8 pin cards per PSU. (Zotac 1070Ti mini is a single 8 pin card) (AMP edition and AMP extreme are dual 8 pin cards) For dual 8 pin cards you would need a 8 pin to dual 8pin Y-splitter. You could go with a server PSU that is made to run 24/7 but they don't have the 5 year manufacturer warranty that EVGA power supplies have. You only want to use 2/3 of max power of the PSU. So if you had x2 EVGA 1000w G2's = 2000w you wouldnt want to run them at more than 1500w 24/7.
You also have to think about the power from the wall. Most outlets are only 15amps. You can only run one 12 GPU rig off a 15a breaker so you would need to put each rig in a different room or per fuse box breaker.
I think that covers it. If you needed something else ask.
I'm working on my second rig. Got 2 Zotac GTX 1070 Ti's now but going to add 10 more to make a 12 card rig. I have the funds to buy 4 more Zotac 1070 Ti's but every where is sold out for retail $469. Only resellers have cards now. Hopefully I will be able to get the cards in two weeks when one of my suppliers restocks, but they took pre orders so not sure if I can get them.
I'm making $340 a week right now off those rigs. ETH $1000 🚀🚀🚀📈🌛
Minus $100 a month for power. In the month of Dec. I used 925.5kWh @ $0.11
