Im setting back up my old merchant account that uses authorize.net . on a pre 2007 account. I was reading that you can use cartmanager to link to paypal and to google checkout. How do I go about setting all this up? If I do it properly then will the customer - after winning the auction - have a choice between the Merchant account / paypal/ and google checkout? Thanks

Yes, you pick which payment methods you want to accept. Its a bit tricky setting it up first time round, but the loads of stuff on other threads about it. I personally didnt use it for long as too many people complained about paying through it. Fussy blighters!

No, I stopped after a while, I didnt find it that useful. It has some good features- it puts a barrier between ebay and paypal. You can turn Ebay checkout off so buyers have to wait for the cartmanager invoice, and you can add Winning buyer buttons which work the same as Pay Now buttons. The problem is the buyers are so used to Ebay checkout and the usual PayPal payment method that anything new scares the sh*t out of them. I ended up sending invoice after invoice trying to get them to pay, and wasting time with messages and emails trying to reassure buyers that Cartmanager was not evil in any way. More hassle than it was worth for me. That's only my opinion, you will find people on other threads who use it and find it very useful. So give it a go first
