Default Just venting - how to deal with "item not received" after restriction

Totally legitimate account, selling handmade items, happy costumers ( apart from a few idiots who want to return them because the cream did not make them look 40 years younger ) and stupid Ebay restricts me and my items are taken down and obviously e-mails sent out to everyone so they can make phoney claims even though they received their items.

How can you get past that frustration, if you send your items tracked, can they still do that?
My items are a low value 5 - 7 pounds and because of that I do not send them tracked, but I do get proof of postage for each.
Obviously, no explanation given as to why am I restricted. I am a risk to their ****ing multi-billionaire business apparently.
Seriously thinking of moving platforms.
I would be OK with the restriction when I am doing something dodgy, but I see they operate the same business model even if you are not. The cases opened up immediately after are such a let down.

I'm sorry things went badly for you.

You don't have to take this cr*p from EB.

Go ahead and move platforms. You can move to Ecrater and get one sale a year, or Bonanza and get one sale every two years, or open your own website and get one sale every 18 months.... or Amazon, and they'll close you down faster than EB did for even less reason.

You just learned an important lesson.

No tracking = lost case, every time. A receipt for postage is meaningless.

Yes, they can do what they did, for any reason or no reason at all. As they just showed you.

You need to change your business model and try to sell something else and ship with tracking.

No tracking = lost case, every time.

This is pretty much ALWAYS the case, particularly when dealing with PayPal.

Learn to play their game, or you'll always lose.

If you're selling handmade items, try Etsy?

They're opening cases and get closed down immediately in their favour.

I've listed my items today on etsy as well, let's see how it goes.
The products re perfectly fine, I do not need to change them, I'm really thinking that a lot of sellers on Ebay do nothing but report or make false claims on other sellers, since my item got in the 1st 4 listings for its category and I was selling around 20 a day.

Unfortunately they do not care, when I got suspended people would open up cases saying not received even though there was tracking that said delivered. Instant win for the buyer. Guess they figure it is OK to flat out steal from you after they suspend you..

yes, that is what is happening to me as well, one just opened a return saying that "seller no longer on ebay, sold me a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ item, I demand a refund" and the item was a handmade cream lol, that obviously was advertised like a generic handmade cream.
some buyers are just rubbish

that's unfortunate. Sorry to hear that.

eBay actually emails all your buyers when you get suspended and they encourage them to file a claim to get a refund. This has been a long going practice that I despise.

Are you sure that you didn't make a mistake anywhere in the process?
Have you gotten threats or competitors buying your stuff lately?

Sorry to hear about what Ebay are putting through, I sell low value items and I have Royal Mail account they have recently issued delivery confirmation for RM24 & RM48 now be advised this only provides delivery confirmation and not tracking however stating the obvious I’ve had 16 item not received cases this month and every single one was won in my favour by Ebay due delivery confirmation therefore this may be an option for you as it’s a cheaper option.

I sell on ebay UK

How come this does not happen to me? I sell creams.....

Something else is in the mix. I am in this category, with a few handmade items, but majority are brands.
Is it the handmade element?
Why has a handmade item been taken down, if it is not violating any other rights owner or have something wrong with product or listing...? does not add up....are you making comparisons or claims?

as for tracking, ebay accepts the new 2d ' tracking', see your receipt for long reference (use minus the dashes), I have won a couple of INR cases with it, as shows delivered, no signature, no extra cost to you, regular post.

Never had a case closed automatically, I get a chance to resolve or escalate....

Also why so many complaints, what is wrong with product compared to others? Ebay is worse for scamming and INR compared to amazon, but it should still be rare...

I sold around 300 and got 2 ladies very upset claiming that the cream is "just vaseline" LOL when I also have certificates for them from chemists for the recipe and filing returns and then another one that misread the description and thought she's getting kilos of cream or something and not what was stated 3 times in the description.

I was very shocked as well, and called and messaged ebay as to WHY AND I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION - none was given but bla bla, go sell your stuff somehwere else

funny thing is that in their original e-mail, just tilted restricted account, they said they only want to verify some bits of information, I thought this was triggered by the fact that my item got very popular and I was selling tens per day, due to some BBC programme that talked about the main ingredient and that they had taken down my listings but as soon as I get verified I can relist them from my unsold.
To my surprise when I log into ebay, all my listings are gone lol and when I queried the lady why this has happened, she got very defensive and was avoiding my question on WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME AS SOON AS I GET VERIFIED I CAN RELIST THEM IN THE E-MAIL WHEN A REPRESENTATIVE TELLS ME I HAVE TO re-do them, then she went on asking me if I have an item in hand, in stock and I said yes and suddenly she says I am banned permanently from using ebay ( even though my listings were taken down and e-mails sent to buyers as they started making false claims.
I believe there must have been an admin error somewhere and they just decided to ban me rather than rectify or to answer my questions lol.

Hello
We regularly review accounts to keep eBay a safe and fair marketplace for our members. As part of our security checks, we sometimes require a seller to contact us so that we can verify their information.

To verify your account, please contact us by clicking on the link below (you may be asked to sign in):
http://ocsnext.ebay.co.uk/ocs/cusr?q...main=email1505

While we're waiting on your response, we've temporarily placed a selling hold on your account. This hold will prevent you from listing new items. Also, if you had any active listings, we've removed them, and placed them in your Unsold folder. We credited any associated fees to your account.

Once we verify your account information, you'll be able to start selling again right away. You'll also be able to relist items from your Unsold folder by clicking Relist to the right of the listing.

Thank you for helping us to keep eBay a safe and fair marketplace. We appreciate your help in verifying your account as quickly as possible.
this was the message and I immediately contacted them

I won't post the customer transcript as it is very long, but it goes along the lines

Quote:
-hello, why were my listings taken down when the e-mail says they should be in my unsold?
-Hello, I am totally going to ignore your question and tell you-you to need to re-create them after we verify you
-No, I demand an explanation, buyers are thinking there is something dodgy with the items
-I'll keep ignoring you and be rude and say if I can ask you stupid questions.
- OK, go ahead and ask me questions, but surely E-bay can reinstate the listings
-I can see you are selling product bla bla, do you have it in stock
- Yes I do, I got it from/it is handmade
- Thank you for confirming
- Please can you reinstate my listings as this will cause an issue with my buyers
( the last few lines are what they said lol OUT OF THE SUDDEN )

Please understand that we want to keep eBay a safe and enjoyable place to buy and sell. We may restrict an account if we have cause for concern. Though I acknowledge your eagerness to help resolve this, it's with much regret to inform you that the restriction placed in your account doesn't have an appeals process to help resolve this.

You may please find other platform you to sell your items.

Uh, I was selling homemade creams I throw together in my basic mad-scientist dungeon laboratory, and these two crazy *itches said it made their faces fall off and go numb, and I got suspended, can you tell me why?

There's a message here. Is it not coming through, because I can hear it, and I'm not even talking to EB.

Like I said my recipes have been assessed by chemists and I have certificates for them to be legally commercialised within the UK. No one's face was falling off, they were not happy with the price vs the quantity even though it was stated.

ha reminds me of that scene in Mrs Doubtfire with the cream on his face...

Possible chance these are competitors making complaints, a normal buyer for snad would just want their money back and ask for it before opening a case...

however even if regular buyers, then quite a few open cases straight away, but this instant case closing is odd, I think the handmade element influenced the reps, a brand has a different perception maybe, regardless of your certificates.........

The case being automatically closed is something foreign to me, on the few occasions of non-receipt (I also sell cheap items without tracking) I just refund and wash my hands of it.

Is there some threshold where they start to auto-refund, and thus ending the dispute, "in the buyers favour"? I know the selling levels have this as one of the important statistics that flags you for below standard.

Do you comply with the EU directive? Home-made cosmetics are on the eBay restricted list and are only allowed if they fully comply with this http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/...59:0209:en:PDF
I suspect there is something you don't comply with and another eBay seller has reported your listings. As its already on the restricted list it will raise flags to eBay quicker.

If your listing has been pulled from e-bay, the buyer gets a message where they can easily hit item not received and it is automatically closed in their favour.

Home-made cosmetics are on the eBay restricted list

Pretty much what I said earlier.

No brainer.

I said that they have PIFs, CSRP and they have been uploaded onto the relevant portal and they are complying with all the requests within the EU directive. I could sell them legally at Holland and Barrett if they would be interested, stop with this useless offtopic.
You can sell handmade items as long as they comply ANYWHERE WITHIN THE EU SO STOP THIS NONSENSE, WOW, IT'S YOUR 3RD POST OF BEING A SMART-ASS.
I mentioned they are handmade to highlight the fact that they are not branded cosmetics, where I could be accused of selling phakes, she was calling my own product a phake LOL.
