Redirected to paypal for card details but they don't go through

Hi everybody.
Yesterday I was very close to upload my first listing when ebay asked me how I will receive money. I selected paypal as payment method and (when redirected to the paypal website) it asked me to fill the card details. I put the ones of the debit card I got with the new bank account I made, and unfortunately the process didn't go through. Then I noticed that the space of the name was already filled with the name of stealth account, and obviously my bank account (and debit card) is with my real name.
Did I have to remove the stealth name and put my real one?
Isn't that a risk? Doesn't paypal/ebay link me if I do that?
Your help is much appreciate. I'm stuck.

You probably don't want to use your bank card with your name on it. Get a Visa Vanilla gift card instead and just put the gift card info in. It's not necessary for you to give your bank card info.

This is for US only but I had the same issue and I am in the UK so how do I get around it? They let you change the first name but not the Surname. They are making it so that the names match up on paypal and card
