Can Etsy geolocate your address?

I have purchased the guide book and saw about eBay being able to geo-locate your IP address, but wondering if Etsy does the same?

Uh, yeah. Of course they know where your IP originated from.

So if I got booted in Nevada but go and open an account in California and use my second home address and IP from there, then go back to Nevada and log on in Nevada, that's a problem?
Maybe I should email you. I know you tried to help me before but I got cold feet and thought to wait that 6 month period (May 2018) then close my accounts with Etsy to be on the safe side before starting over. I want to be sure and do it slow and correctly the first time so may be over analyzing stuff too much.

You need a fresh Dedicated IP address. Don't use free and overused services.

You don’t have to make shops like that at all. The IP may not be a problem but the way you’re describing setting up is going to be.

There’s no benefit in waiting to make more shops. It’s better to have multiple shops going so when others close down it isn’t a waiting period again.

I got that. My Mom lives in my house in California and she has a computer but has never been on Etsy so it's fresh and safe. My only concern, is if I used it to start anew, then drive back to California and log in on my computer here under a refreshed IP and new laptop, will that be a red flag if IP account is being logged in from 250 miles away from where account originated.

Unless your mom wants to pay taxes for you the setup you’re going for is not only unnecessary but it’s risky, not to mention an over abundant waste of time and resources.
