Hi,
I was using it, yes, it's a nice tool, but then i got a doubt if it can spy?
From their privacy policy:
Grammarly is committed to protecting the security of your information and takes reasonable precautions to protect it. However, Internet data transmissions, whether wired or wireless, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and as a result, we cannot ensure the security of information you transmit to us, including Personal Information and User Content; accordingly, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.
It's working online like a trojan & keylogger while you're even using private forums or email, etc?
Again from their support:
Q: Can I use Grammarly offline?
A: Grammarly is an online application, which means your computer must be connected to the Internet. Grammarly requires a stable Internet connection to analyze your text and provide suggestions.
I don't believe it will cause an account linking by co-working with EB/PP or any other, but it's a high risk:
- I didn't check their protocol yet. They say TLS or SSL but their policy language above is not giving a trust.
- No idea how much data they store yet.
- It is always a sniffing or vulnerability risk.
Any experience or ideas up to now? While in stealth mode, better to use bad English
Regards.
