Somebody posted a thread very similar to this a few weeks ago, and was told by a few different forum members that contacting actionfraud would be the best course of action.
Long story short - you sent your payment in a manner which bypasses Paypal's buyer protection. This was a scam from the get-go which is why the scammer had you send the payment that way. It's doubtful you'll ever be made whole from this.
