Etsy showed banned in Backend
Guys, this just happened to me and I just wanted to share it so you don't face the same troubles.
I created a new etsy account about 3 weeks ago. It was a paypal account, not etsy payments. So I created some listings on the account and made a first sale.
A few days later I logged in and it said in the Backend:
Your account is currently suspended.
Please check your email for a message explaining why, and how to restore your account. If you have further questions, contact Etsy support.
I didn't receive an email at all.
So I checked in again a week later and it had still the same message.
Since I run all accounts on separate virtual machines, I didn't need the VM anymore and deleted it along with all it's data (names, emails, passwords that belonged to the account).
Today the attached paypal account tho received a payment from etsy. Of course I wanted to check the etsy account and was curious about what was going there. But I lost almost all data, and could barely remember the email I used. However after a few hours of brainstorming I found the email and was able to reset the email password. From there I was able to reset the etsy password too and can now log in. The message is gone, the account works as usual.
So if this happens to you, show a little patience, don't just delete all data right away. If you create a gmail, make sure you add a really existing backup email when the account is created, just in case.
