Default UK banks to avoid using with PP

Hi guys

Does anyone advise which UK banks should avoid for PP.

I have read on threads that Halifax bank is a bad 1. Are there any others?

Or the best banks which are good for PP

Thanks

Lloyd’s, TSB, NatWest I’ve issues with all 3, Lloyd’s closed my account & I had to go in to Lloyd’s bank to provide id and proof of where my funds are coming from.

It does depend on your relationship with the bank, what type of bank account you use and how much money you have running through them, plus other factors.

Lloyds, tsb, have been on the sh*t list for years, ive never used them myself for that reason.

Halifax has had multiple reported problems too.

I have never had any issues with any Bank.

Including Lloyds, TSB, Halifax etc..

However I have a good relationship with the Banks having been with them for many years.

Yeah apparently Lloyd’s, TSB & Halifax are owned by HBOS so you will have issues with these banks so keep away from them.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go for something like nationwide or yorkshire building society. I am currently with Halifax but the savings account don't accept PayPal for some reason.
Ideally I am wanting to open an account and then open saving accounts for the stealth PayPals.

Halifax should be able to get added to PayPal. I use a Halifax savings account (well a few!) myself without issue

That’s weird I’ve had issues with all these accounts I’m not sure what’s going on I was depositing about 10k a month on average so it’s very peculiar why these accounts work for some and not for others, I have noticed Business Accounts get less scrutiny with now issues like you get with personal accounts. With business accounts you can also attach sub accounts which is a bonus.

Is there a way to get the Halifax saving account to accept PayPal? Do we have to activate something on them or should just go ahead and attach them?
