How to find out if you've got copyright infingement strike?
I've got a tiny hobby shop selling artwork and was ok for several years until I recently made a stupid mistake.
I tagged a listing of a mermaid with "Disney" (not actually Disney's Ariel but I thought it would be of interest to Disney fans) without realising it would get me in trouble.
So one day I realised I had no sales, and my total listings were missing one. I eventually figured out it was the mermaid and I could still see it in my listings to edit. I immediately took out the references to Disney.
Next day my shop is back to normal and I can see the mermaid listing again.
But now I'm worried I have a copyright infringement strike on my account, but etsy didn't contact me or anything? I want to ask etsy but thinking that will just get me banned completely.
I'm also scared that Disney is coming after me now with their lawyers. This is my real account and they have my address. Will I receive a letter to go to court and how much do I have to pay? I didn't even sell this mermaid yet, but I googled and it said registered copyrights can sue you for $30k+
