Default how much different does your IP need to be?

in order for ebay not to 'catch' you, how different does your IP need to be from the old one they suspended you?

say you have 210.48.128.28 on the suspended account, could you use 210.48.128.29 on a new account? or would you be better off using 210.48.100.48?

Lately when I have been using the *** (not firefox) browser I keep getting the same IP, but it is not tainted yet and don't plan on using it for another account until I have to. Does this browser (isp specific) use cookies?
In the begining everytime I would open the browser I would get a different IP, but for the last couple of days it has been the same.

Modee, I asked this before but no answer--Can you just disconnect your modem and clear cache, or do you HAVE to quit the browser (firefox) too? On AOL I don't have a choice in this, but firefox I do. Thanks

your IP will change depending on the current active connection. but to clear all your files you need to restart firefox. i'd still recommend to restart firefox with a new IP in case ebay deposited some nasty cookie under the old IP.

some of us have not been here since the beggining and so have not read every single thing on every single thread. maybe to make it easier and so questions are not repeated you can add a search thingy so we can try to find the answer befor posting the question repeatedly. this may cut down on repeated questions and irritation. you may also refer the person who asked the question to the original thread which answered the question.
