PayPal told customer her death breached its rules

I feel like everyone on this forum can relate to frustration with PayPal this is a new low though even for them. Really highlights how messed up their internal processes are though and why this forum is thriving.

I once had the USPS insist that they couldn’t forward a deceased SIL’s mail to us because they required her signature on the forwarding form, we had a death certificate and were handling the estate disposition.

I kept saying “She’s deceased, she can’t sign anything”, and they kept insisting they had to have her signature, I had to talk to the station manager to get them to relent.

So this is nothing new... sadly.

Customer Service agents are, sadly, not always the brightest bunch to work at a company's forefront and reflect badly on the company...in many niches
