Default PayPal Blacklisted my Domain Name

Hi,

I figured getting a new PayPal account for my website won't be enough, I believe my domain name has been blacklisted from PayPal.

Can someone let me know a way around this ?

Thank you

Your payments will have to come from a different domain name.

You should make sure the site got blacklisted.

Another domain name created correctly usually works.

If you already have a well established domain name, you could try getting creative and keep your domain the same while having your PP payments come from another domain.

Best to do this given your circumstances - PP has long been known to cause problems if same domain name is used for previously suspended accounts

Hi,

If I change the .com to .co.uk, will it be enough to prevent PayPal from blacklisting me again ?

Thank you

Your website has an ID code. That will still be the same unless you open another website.

I can't say for certain but I don't think that's enough of a change.

How can that be done. My business is well established. My stealth is my friend that I cant be linked to. Using woocommerce as my shopping cart.

this is way out of my area of expertise, but as a shopper, I often visit websites where I type in www. business name (dot) com and that takes me to another domain name. This usually happens if a business changes names and wants to direct old customers to their new website automatically

OR, you can have purchases go through a different domain. So everything can be "done" from the established website, but on checkout, the information gets transferred to another domain to finish.

you'll need a lot of PHP expertise (I have none)

Same here.

How can we know for sure thought that a limitation is happening due to the forwarding domain? I've been limited twice and this is the only thing that I can think of that is triggering it.

I don't think simply changing the prefix (.co, uk etc) would be sufficient. It is not difficult to lookup the ip address for the domain name. I would be suprised if Paypal is not checking this.

My potential solution: I use Cloudflare. It is pretty easy (and free) to setup a "rule" to forward to another domain at the checkout page. This will probably be my next step. Anyone else think this would work?

Is the id code saved in past purchases. We decided to either change the domain name. Use redirects etc. From there would paypal be able to see that the person purchased from the ld domain? Is any prior payment info passed through I mean. Also do they track the website ip?

You could make a new domain name which is a mirror of your actual domain. And during the checkout process you just send your customers to the new domain... This is if you know your ****. (maybe ast "nate" who is a member here, he knows his ****)

I don't know how that is done but also have a banned domain. I don't want to get an new domain because I put too much effort in marketing so I want to use the old domain. My solution was to abandon these fancy paypal payment modules and just create an easy payment module that i called "Paypal Payments". It does nothing else than sending the customer an email with some Info like my paypal email address and telling him to log into his paypal and send the money manually. This way I don't use paypals API and they won't know where the sale was made.
