Could you post the suspension message and the reply you got? You can leave out the products involved.

Hello

We attempted to reach you by phone today, but were unable to connect. We are writing to let you know that we have removed your selling privileges and placed a temporary hold on any funds in your seller account.

We took these actions because you have listed items that are not permitted for sale on Amazon.com. Items sold on Amazon.com must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations and Amazon’s policies. It is your obligation to make sure the products you sell are compliant with Amazon’s policies.

Drugs & drug paraphernalia - https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...cont_200164490

Here are some examples of products you have listed that violate Amazon policy:

ASIN:
TITLE:

What’s next?
To reactivate your selling account, please submit a plan of action that describes:
– A detailed explanation of the root cause(s) of the violations
– The proactive steps you have taken to prevent any similar violations in the future
– Confirmation that you have closed or deleted all restricted product listings from your inventory

Here are a few things to consider as you create your plan:
– Policies: Carefully review Amazon’s Restricted Products policies by searching “Restricted Products” in the Amazon Seller Central Help pages.
– Know Your Responsibilities: If you supply goods on Amazon, you are responsible for ensuring that your listings comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations and Amazon policies. You can find best practices for compliance with our policies by searching “Additional Information and Resources for Sellers about our Restricted Products Policy” in the Amazon Seller Central Help pages.
– Stay Informed: Laws, regulations and policies are subject to change, and for international sellers, differ from marketplace to marketplace, so audit your inventory for compliance on a regular basis. This particularly includes listings that are added using inventory feeds or uploaded using automated systems.

When you are ready, please submit your plan of action to product-compliance-policy@amazon.com.

We’re here to help. Use this link (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/cu/...cmn/RESTRICTED) to speak with an Account Health Specialist if you need assistance or have questions about the restricted product violations.

You can learn more about our policies in Seller Central Help:
– Restricted Product Policies: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/200164330
– Restricted Product Policy Resources: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/201567350
– Restricted Products FAQ: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...YAVS22E6CQKV2B

We look forward to hearing from you.

Seller Performance Team

I replied the following:

Dear Amazon,

We are very upset to learn we have listed items that are not permitted for sale on Amazon.com. We understand you concerns and we regret we didn’t take the correct actions earlier.

These issues occurred because we listed all the items provided by our distributors in bulk, without the acknowledgment of certain items being restricted. We have reviewed Amazon policy regarding restricted items and assure you this will not occur again.

As per your request, please find below our plan of action:

Detailed explanation of the root cause(s) of the violations:

The violation occurred because we did not filter these items when listing them to our inventory. The list of item we have for sale came in excel format, and is provided by a reputable distributor we trust as far as product selection quality and everything was done in bulk; Unfortunately, we had no acknowledgment of the facts that enhancement pills and drugs & drug paraphernalia products were prohibited on amazon. This was reviewed with extra care, corrected and we guarantee that we have reviewed amazon policy in depth and will not list or sell any prohibited items anymore.

The proactive steps you have taken to prevent any similar violations in the future:

Here are the steps we have taken to ensure and prevent any similar violations to occur in the future:

1- Our management have reviewed thoroughly amazon terms and conditions and have also requested our employees to review and learn amazon terms and conditions. Our team is now well aware of all the restricted type of items and we guarantee Drugs & drug paraphernalia type of items or other restricted items will not be carried on our amazon inventory.

2- we have filtered the excel spreadsheet provided by our distributor and removed and erase all products belonging to the “pills”, “enhancement, “enhancers” and “Drugs & drug paraphernalia” categories.

3- we have contacted our distributors and ask them to put us to a “do not ship and restricted” list so we are not offered or sold items belonging to the Drugs & drug paraphernalia category.

4- we have asked our employee in charge of product listing to double-check each products and cross check them with the list of restricted items before adding it to our amazon inventory. More over, for better control, we have assigned an additional person to verify all new items added each week to make sure these items comply with amazon terms and policy.

5- We will be reviewing our entire catalog more regularly and with more scrutiny, this will allow us to provide impeccable service and products up to the safety and legal standards Amazon customers expect and deserve.

Confirmation that you have closed or deleted all restricted product listings from your inventory:

We went thoroughly checked our entire catalogue and confirm that we have closed and deleted all restricted products from our inventory.

We now know exactly what to do to improve, and we are ready to do all it takes to become a good partner to Amazon once again. A thorough evaluation of our selling practices helped us to identify areas to improve and came up with this plan of action. We hope this plan of action is satisfactory to you and that it will lead to our selling privileges being reinstated.

Sincerely,

Some items require additional approval and they allow you to list them under other peoples listing pages.

The best way to avoid this in the future is to manually create the listing page for each product you want to sell. If it allows you to list it, then its safe to list under an existing listing page

Its a problem Amazon should fix... Seen lots of issues with that over the last year

Sincerely,
Your appeal is too long and doesn’t go straight to the point.

Here’s a better Appeal:

A. What caused this issue.

We listed products restricted products for sale without prior approval from the concerned department. We were not aware of the item restriction before listing it, but we take full responsibility for our action and promise it will never occur again.

B. Steps we’ve take to prevent the re-occurence of this issue.

- We have deleted the concerned items from our store and promise not to put them up for sale again.

- we have taken the time to review all our current listings to ensure they are not in violation of amazon policies.

- we have read all Amazon policies and guidelines regarding selling of prohibited/restricted items and henceforth, we will be adhering strictly to them.

We believe the steps we have taken will prevent this violation from ever occurring again.

If you can provide them evidence that they are wrong, like a MSDS for the product, then you should be able to have your account reinstated. A live link to the product document is what you'll want to send them.

Second option is to try finding the proper informational documents and photoshopping the section that includes the restricted drug out, then sending them a copy in .pdf format. Not as likely to work but worth a shot if you can't do the above.

AMZ doesn't reinstate accounts for the regular 'I'm so sorry, sir! I did not know!' routine, I'm afraid. No free get out of jail cards. They care less about how it happened and more about how you were actually in compliance with policy, and you won't repeat the mistake.

This is simply not true. Insisting you're right with Amazon is actually the easiest way to kiss your account goodbye. If they say you’re wrong, they want you to acknowledge it and assure them it won’t happen again.

I’ve reinstated my account multiple times on cases like this and even went back to do the same thing I was doing before.

Actually in my experience it was the opposite. AMZ wanted proof some sold items had the proper information. Admitted my mistake, explained how I'd change the listings to be in compliance, and always got the 'your plan is not complete' emails. Phaked what they were after, and account was reinstated.

Maybe it depends on the person handling the case. In mine I just admit I am wrong and I understand how it affects them. Then I promise not to do it again. Works like a charm for me

Both of you are actually correct.

The best way is just to tell them what you are doing different to prevent this same issue moving forward and keep the email short and clear.

Long stories will not be read.

I would not keep sending the same letter. I would try sending shorter messages (as I agree that one was probably too long), but also longer ones. Hoping that one gets accepted.

I've heard the person reading the email is basically allowed a very limited number of minutes to make a decision.

So either get right to the point. Or overwhelm them with content that looks good - hoping they don't want to read through all of it and just reactivate you.

Nice and targeted approach.

This really sounds better and straight to the point.
