I see it all of the time with car dealers, but as you know you can see something done on ebay 100 times and when you go to make it 101 you get hit.

If you could find a way to do it discretely (sic?) your chance would be much better.

it's in their terms and conditions that you're not allowed to advertise websites in your auctions.

They don't like people doing it, but you can promote in sneaky ways like, have a support email address listed in the auction.

Support@youwebsitename.com show up in the auction. This will get people going to your website. I guess you can have a URL as an image, but eBay doesn't like that.

You should really consider using the help pages: Links Policy

As long as your website isn't selling anything directly to a member, you should be fine. If your website is related to the item you're selling, then you can use your website in your listing for buyers to get more information from. If it's not related, then don't put it on. If you try to get sneaky with it, you'll probably get warned/suspended for being an ass and trying to get around policies.

I, myself would stay completely away from using any email addresses or blatent portayal of your site but...at the risk of being laughed at; depending on what you are selling....maybe you could have a pic of someone holding the item (minus their head) and they are wearing a t-shirt with your website address on it. Dumb huh?

It's perfectly okay to put an email address in your listing, it's just the context of how you put it.

If you say something like "Feel free to contact me at my@email.com if you have any questions" that's fine. However if you say something like "Contact me at my email before bidding" or "Contact me at my email directly to purchase" then you're gonna get your listings ended/warned.

Basically we at eBay want to encourage member communication, but discourage off-site transactions.

So something which would be allowed is for example saying something like "If you have any questions about this item, please follow this link to my website to find out how to contact me" and then link to the contact page of your website. From there, of course, the buyer can go through the rest of your website. Or you can link to rules/terms on your own website too. The links just have to be relevant to what you're describing them as.

its random who gets suspsend with emails within auctio postings saying, "contact me before bidding" I followed auctions like that and they sell still and relist again, again, and again. sometimes its legit sometimes its not though ebay does not catch it.
