Default Verizon 3G service $5 flash mifi, still working??

it seems they changed $5 to $30 plan... You can call to check it.

What to do next? no point to add $5 ,right?

Maybe let it die and find a different way to IPs.

before they never tell it is on a $30 plan.. and would tell the expiration date, which no longer tells you.

device is still working; so i just add $5 each month ?

Yea, what do you have to lose? $5...

Mine says all kinds of weird stuff... like the day before the bill is due it will say I have a balance of $5... Then the day after the bill is due before I add the refill card it will say I have a balance of $15... The after I add the refill card it says my balance is $5 again...

Then other times it will say I have a balance of $5... then day after bill is due before I add a refill it will say balance of $0... then after I add the refill it will say balance of $5 again...

Bought one of these mifi units from glselectronic/ebay....callingmart said the SIM # was invalid. I attempted to pay anyway and they keep cancelling. While the due date was yesterday it's still working thus far. Can I stick any old valid SIM in there?

I always buy the data refill pin off this link below... If its the 1st time your buying from calling mart and your paying with PayPal... You will have to call in using the phone number attached to the PayPal account 12-24hrs after purchasing the pin in order to verify the PayPal account before they will email it to you.

Once you call in they automatically email you the pin to the email connected to the paypal...

If your paying by Visa they should call you with in a few minutes to verify if its your 1st time buying off callingmart.

After you've been verified they usually email you the pin within 12hrs every time you buy from them after that.

I've never given callingmart any info on the SIM or phone number the pin is being applied to or anything like that...

GLS also told me I could go to the store and buy a $10 refill and add it every 60 days instead of $5 every 30

first time buyer. Yes, they called and verified however, the person stated the verizon # was invalid and will cancel this order. Wasn't sure what to say after that?

I only followed the instructions given when received it.

I've never tried choosing the Verizon Inpulse Re-fill-RTR option from CallingMart...

I always just buy the pin from the link I gave you... or I buy the $5 or $10 re-fill cards at a store...

If you're buy the pin from the link I gave you they dont ask for the Verizon Phone number you're adding the pin to.

Or you can do the same thing you did where it asks you to select provider and select "Verizon Inpulse Re-fill- PIN"

You might want to call the Verizon number below before you buy the Pin just to make sure your number is still valid with Verizon (it should be if you still have service)... (888) 294-6804

Call me green, but I don't understand the diff between the PIN or RTR.

I followed their instructions (no pin # was provided), so since the SIM # (again, from their instructions) appears invalid, did I get ripped off?

There should have been two sets of instructions on the paper GLS gave you... One to add using CallingMart and one to add by buying a refill card at the store...

If you want a answer to if your device is screwed or not call the Verizon number (888) 294-6804 and enter your MiFi's phone number that GLS gave you...

If Verizon tells you your on the $30 plan your good... If Verizon tells you they dont have that number in their system your screwed... and it needs to be reflashed...

The difference between RTR and PIN is, RTR is CallingMart adding the PIN for you... PIN is CallingMart giving you the PIN and you adding it by calling the 888 number... No different than if you went to the store and bought a refill card there. Only they don't sell $5 refills at stores anymore...

Obviously you didnt try the link I gave you... I cant come over there and click it for you... you have to do that yourself... it takes you to a different section of callingmarts website than where your going... But call the (888) number 1st to make sure your MiFi is still good.

I appreciate all the info thus far. I did click the link and saw those options prior to posting the last 3 weeks. I did the RTR but they're stating my # is dead.

Called the Verizon # you provided and the AA stated the number is not in service, however the device appears to still be working thus far.

If you just got the device in the last 30-60 days, i'd contact GLS... He might not respond tho... He hasnt listed anything in a couple weeks...

There is defiantly something wrong if Verizon says the number isnt active... Maybe GLS wrote down the wrong number... This is your first time adding a refill right?

Usually the device stops working when Verizon removes the number from their system. So if your device still works it makes me think he wrote down the wrong number.

Well, today it died. I double checked the number he gave on paper instructions vs what’s on the jet pack...matched. I’d advise, not to do business with that account....

I have one of these that has been up for a few months. It seems to be working and I have added $10 to it in the past. I called in and it does say I am on the $30 plan. What does this mean? do I add $5 every month or $30?

Any good new source for more of these? Are they still working? Seems the sellers on ebay either were cracked down upon - or the service no longer works this way.

Just add $5 every month on the due date to be safe... If your feeling more reckless add $10 every 60 days...

All the devices I've had flashed from multiple flashers says I'm on the $30 plan... I'm guessing they all do.

What you don't want it to say is that Verizon can't find your number in their system.
