PayPal Limited - Funds released, but ID request

Sold an item, supplied real docs. PP got permlimited, after 30 days they said they will release the money. I was not able to add neither bank nor card, called them.

First rep said that the "ID image is not clear", i need to upload new clear photo.
Second rep said they don't want that ID, they want another. I said in my country Passport is not needed for anything, and I have only ID with me. They said they don't care and I need to upload a passport.

I tried to re-uploading an ID, another photo of it, but in my opinion the quality is the same.

If it fails, what to do?

King of jokes? Camera is perfect, doc is perfect, but they say it is not clear. They must be blind not to see details on the ID.

Also, my main question is - what to do, if they want doc to let me to withdraw the money, but refuse anything that i send to them?

Keep submitting it every day until you get someone that approves it.

How can I do that? Standard uploading does not work as account is limited, you mean using the generic form they give to upload docs for suspended accounts?

Finally i uploaded second ID, and bammm... actually funds are not released, and I still need to wait 180 days. What a joke!

You only sold one item on the account? is it a high value item? if you only sold 1 item and you shipped it with tracking+it is marked as delivered, you should open a complaint with bbb.org and tell them you only sold the 1 item and provide them tracking information. Someone from Paypal Executive Escalations will write back to you.

If it isn't an expensive item they will most likely allow you to transfer the funds.

If it was an expensive item and your account was limited because of it being linked to another banned account ( especially if that account had a negative balance ) then no matter what ID's/documents you submit they won't release it before 180days.


Personally whenever i have an issue with paypal i use bbb. It drives me crazy receiving these generic automated responses that customer service sends out and you should always avoid calling Paypal, that's the easiest way to blow your chance of getting your funds before the 180 days

Paypal customer support is all time waste of time.
i noticed even for same query each rep have different view.
