Default Buyer Fraud done against me "help please"

Had an ebay buyer lie about the item sent saying it was broken, got pictures today in the mail and a rock with never the item returned, pictures circled imperfections and nothing was broken. PayPal refunded the money and im left with a rock, ebay and paypal fees and lost of item and money.

What can I do to get this stopped and the guy in jail?

I have the PO Box number, real name and phone number.

I also have a witness who saw me open up the return and the box and info contained with in.

Thanks

Curious about the cost of the item you sent to a P.O. Box?

You need to go file a police report. Obtain a hard copy and forward to Paypal. With this, Paypal generally refunds the money back to the seller.

However, the police report will be in your "real" name. If the account is stealth, you are screwed...

Dalex08, I am sorry it happened. Unfortunately, there are as many buyers scamming sellers as the other way around. I am currently getting screwed by a buyer who bought items for a church and claims to be a Christian. It is a real sad world...

dalex08,

You are the victim of a deliberate fraud. It is obvious to us because we've had the experience too.

There is almost zero chance of having this resolved in a way that favors you. The best thing for you is to set your mind on the idea that your item is gone and your funds are irretrievable.

Any effort you expend at this point will probably do you no good and will also cost you in the form of time invested that could have been applied productively. Let it go, and move on.

Since the specifics you provide are vague, I can't really offer any advice on how to prevent this.

Is there any way you can detail this scenario without revealing your exact product? The more we know, the better the chances somebody will have an idea for you.

Contact paypal ,there is a chance this isnt the first time they have done this and contact any other sellers if the bought anything else in the last couple weeks you can look up there buying history .I actually just got refunded on a sale that paypal told me over the phone that i would not be getting a refund for-- i told them to check his account this isnt the first time he has done this-what the buyer was doing was getting sellers to ship to a different address than doing a bnk reversal .. also did you insure the item ?.....good luck

paypal has seller protection. last time i asked them why if buyers return me a empty box, they told me they will get my confirmation that the item itself is returned not a empty box.

Next time? So they expect that it will happen again. Because they know.

$35.00 is way too low an amount to worry about. It is simply the cost of doing business. The quicker you move on and do not let it bother you, the better you will feel...

Not worth the trouble.. I'm not sure why the buyer went through the trouble for it as well.

Now if it were a couple hundred bucks... you could do some damage.. but really consider it the cost of doing business and learn from it.

Don't deliver high priced items to a po box.
