Default Auction sniper - worth it or dangerous?

I'd love to take advantage of an auction sniping tool for my eBay buying account that's in my real info.

The bids going in from the sniper would obviously be coming from their server and IP. Is that risky or do you reckon it would be OK? This isn't a stealth account and I only use it for buying but I still don't want to lose it.

I've used auction sniping many times on my buying account without problems. I normally use Gixen.com which seems quite good. To be honest I cannot think of any reason why using a sniping tool would cause any problems with ebay. The fact the bids come from the sniping tool IP shouldn't make any difference, if it did there would be thousands of ebay accounts being banned everyday!

But this is only my opinion so wait and see what the other guys on here have to say first.

I too have been using one on my buying only ebay account which is several years old and running perfectly fine.

Aside from the obvious benefits such as not having to monitor auctions ending soon, it saves you the pressure and temptation to win the auction last minute, which in turn could mean you don't exactly get the bargain you we're aiming for.

Definitely recommended

P.S. I use https://www.myibidder.com/login - I'm sure there's better one's out there, but this seems to do the job well.

I now always use Gixen auction sniper. Very useful if you have a slow internet connection like mine otherwise manual bids can arrive too late if only a few seconds left. Its also easy to forget to bid manually on an item if busy working.
