No longer need phone number for PayPal

I have just made a new account last week, I entered the bank details and today I went to do the expuse number, normally whilst doig that I enter my phone number to verify the address but it just took the £1 from the card and didnt do the call or mention the call?

Anything I can do?

if you want to lift limits on account you will need to do phone or address verification, but if you intend to earn less than £1700 per annum dont bother with it.

They have changed it now, phone verification can only be done after you have confirmed the bank account and entered the expuse number.
