paypal limited to Medium - Requesting to upload a photo ID

Hey guys i wanted to ask a question if anyone can help, after having a PayPal with 1 letter in my name missing and 1 extra letter in my last name, i have been using this account for several years now, i have a debit card, CC and bank account all linked to this paypal account, after making several transactions they limited my account saying its a MEDIUM limitation and i have to upload a Photo ID

My question is can upload a ⊗⊗⊗⊗y drivers license? with the same spelling as i opened the account with? or should i take my real one and just edit it to remove 1 letter in the first name and add 1 letter to the last and keep the address and everything the same?

My only concern is will paypal check a 3rd party database to see if my drivers license ID matches up? or do they just want to see a photo ID?

Call the paypal support and tell them that you have mistake putting in your name and they will help you out to fix and change it

yes, but theres 2 mistakes, 1 is my name is missing the last letter, and my last name has an extra letter in it, but even to call them now, it might be alittle obvious after my account is limited.


i am also curious will they do a background check on my drivers license ID?

the account already has my SS number

what do you think is the best thing to do? get a drivers license made with the same spelling? or are they going to research the 3rd party database for information from my driver kicense number?

As far I know 1 to 2 wrong/extra letter in first and last can be change by contacting customer support I already experience it and when I was at limitation department they help me to fix and change my full name to the real one

thanks for that information, but does paypal check the datatbase after receiveing the drivers license so they can verify if its real or not? the reason why i Sk is because if they dont i would rather have a stealth drivers license made

As far I know if someone cant hold the drivers license or any ID they cant determine its ⊗⊗⊗⊗/real unless there is suspicious text/info in the ID itself
