If You Use Gmail for your PayPal, READ THIS. Fall 2018
A lot of people are getting notices lately that they have to add a bank or confirm info by a certain date, many times it's January of 2019. Things are changing, those notices are rolling out, but not on all accounts... I've seen it mentioned a bunch on the forums, but didn't think it affected me at all until recently.
I recently discovered that most of my Gmail accounts were set up by default (or by me without realizing it) or as part of the "new" Gmail/Chrome that was a forced update recently, with categories of mail, like "spam" and "forums" and one of them called "Promotions" which catches a ton of spam auto-sent emails from E*bay and PP and other sites... Well I just noticed that a bunch of these notices that I was getting to "add a bank or confirm info by.... " were going to the PROMOTIONS mail folders and I would have never noticed them. I got a LOT more notices than I thought once I learned to check all in-box categories.
Check along the top of your Gmail in-box, and see if there are tabs of some sort. Many of these "add bank or cofirm info" notices are treated as spam or promotional by Gmail, and for those who want to know the clock is ticking on their options, you don't want to overlook these notices.
They may be going to spam folders in other email providers too, (maybe even on purpose by PP, so people don't change their habits...? I never had a billing related email go to spam, PP...) but either way, just know to check everywhere for them. I didn't know the new version of Gmail was hiding some of my email and likely a few other people might not either.
