Ok, so I have sold 8 items in 2-3months for a total of $52 and paypal is asking for tax id? What the heck? $52!! So if I upgrade to business and provide EIN will that suffice, I hate to have to form LLC for a new low sales acct.
Thanking you guys in advance

So I thought no problem I would just attach and EIN to it, then IMMEDIATELY it asked for copy of business info (address verified with mail delivered in company name) business registration and a couple of other things. WTF? I have $52 in that paypal and they can just keep it.
That's odd, you shouldn't be hit with the TID request so quickly after just $52 in sales.
By chance is this a Vermont or Massachusetts registered PayPal? They have a $600 tax threshold.
Op is still below 10% of $600 and not even close to 200 items. As much as people have studied and shared information on PayPal, the one thing I have come to know is sometimes we just don’t know.

When they ask for the laundry request...rarely a good sign of reinstatement possible :(
Update; Here is one of the request
Pick a document dated within the last year (90 days for Certificate of Good Standing) that includes the business name and address shown on your PayPal account. Please provide first page only.
The problem is due to not wanting to defraud I set up LLC in my real name and address which is not my stealth, has anyone else ran into this issue? Is sending in EIN now not a viable option. If so that sucks.
The last 6 requests like yours I have supplied EINs and they all instantly were asked for documents proving the business is real like yours said. Very frustrating.
