I've used Voip.ms in the past on 3 different accounts, without any issues, though I have not tried to add it on any new account at all in the last 2 years. It also does SMS so you can get SMS verification codes.

download an app called burner.. cheap and works like a charm, you get 40 free msgs and a 15 minutes of dial time for free i think if you are a new user.

Could potentially set off some flags. I would suggest using a Canadian number for a Canadian account. It just keeps things simple and doesn't look strange.
