PayPal toast - eBay fine - risks with putting new PayPal on old eBay?

My PayPal got limited was linked to two old accounts where I was flipping websites.. and got burned - nothing happen to eBay as I was selling clothes gradually to make a few extra bucks. I sold one of my personal iPhone 7 Plus without issue - couldn’t list my husbands paid off clean the phones are. I only sold because we got new plan and went with IPhone X.

So partnered with one of my clients and found a vendor to obtain cheap ps4 consoles - legit - bought 20 - sold about 3 during the week auction style but kept getting 0 bidders and they won never paid. Decided I’ll do buy it now and got 10 sales in about 4 hours - PayPal froze without me even being able to ship. I contacted all buyers refunded them -

They still want to buy these - I was going to get merchant but eBay won’t allow anymore before this happened I wanted to split my web business with eBay so I built another PayPal business account.


The card came yesterday it’s free and clear - should I hook it up to my good- standing eBay or will I run risk of being limited again ??

New Paypal would quickly be linked to the old Paypal, and limited.

eBay's are linked to Paypals with internal account ID's. You can find your eBay account ID on one of your selling fee invoices. Your account ID's can't be changed therefore there's no safe way to attach a new Paypal.

You'd be able to accept a few more payments before the inevitable linkage but you would end up with however many payments being held for 180 days.

You can build an e-commerce site using zencart where you can easily intergrate merchant payment gate way. Authorized.net is one of the low transaction fee among the others which i used before, so you may use them if you want. Since you wanted sell high risk items fast, you shouldnt use pp.

Auth.net can no longer be used on eBay.

I said build your own site and link your buyers to it where they can place order with using their own credit cards. No ebay and pp needed. Use them as traffics.

That’s a great idea considering I have product and can even dropship more needbe - since I have buyers who I refunded I can now legally provide them other info to complete transactions ? And I am a web developer so using a website is no issue for me
