How I got my Paypal money after 180 days gone? - Happy ending
Here is my long shorted story, about paypal horrors.
Type of account: Stealth
Balance: around £600
I was in a situation like most of you when Paypal decide to block/limit your account & refuse to release the money after 180 days.
180 days had long gone and every time I contacted them via online form they did put me an automated respond. Even rolled me in another 180 days as double punishment for complaining. So I could not sit and wait and do nothing. That's a win win for Paypal, so I went to complain to Financial Ombudsman Service, Email & URLs link down below. I kept emailing Paypal and provide them with a proof of address and Proof of ID but nothing was happening so, in the end Ombudsman representative had to step in again and email to paypal on my behalf my ID then my ID finally was accepted and paypal agreed to release my money. Paypal agreed to release the money BUT did not tell me, how much per day you can withdraw??? So could not withdraw more than £100 per days.
Finally, It took few months with Ombudsman body from April - Sept 2018 to get some results and finally Paypal cracked and did release the money but as I mention above, not without a fight.
Now, for some people £600 is not worth the hassle but for me everyone penny counts and why allow Paypal to get way with daylight robbery? Anyway that was my little short version story, about Paypal sucks big time, Lesson learned: Never leave any money in paypal that you cannot afford to lose.
All the info you need for ombudsman are down below to get you started, if ombudsman is not successful then next final stage is small court claims. All the best.
