Activity: 0% Longevity: 32% | | Stealth Paypal wants SSN after first money comes in
I've been making stealth accounts since July just fine. But since December when I make a stealth Paypal the only way it will let me use my Paypal balance is with an SSN verification. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Are you able to transfer to bank?
Also, PayPal informed all users of having to verify SSN to send/spend PayPal balance months ago.

I use unused IPs and VPN and have generally not had any issues in the past, new email, new number, new windows, user account, prepaid debit card. I make sure to match the addresses and names exactly on them all. No problem with opening a stealth ebay right now. It is just this issue when I open a new paypal, they require an SSN to spend or send my paypal balance. I wouldn't even be able to pay those ebay fees.

I'm pretty sure you can still pay eBay fees. I'm not 100% sure but about 95% sure.

So no more stealth accounts if we have to provide SSN? I'm surprised more people aren't discussing this.

It has been like this for several months, can only transfer to bank and pay postage with the new PP accts, will have to pay ebay fees with your CC, been doing it for 3 months like this.

What about old accounts? Are they going to all be asked for ssn too?

I have many pay pals with the "Claim it" button where without an SSN they only let me transfer my balance to my bank.
I use all of them to pay my eBay fees without a problem.

They informed ALL users...? I have a few accounts that got no such notice- is it possible that this isn't going to hit ALL accounts on Jan19th (or whatever date those emails said, i forget now)...?
Could it be if an account didn't get this notice that it's possible it will still be able to send/spend the balance for a little while longer?

Pay your fees with a credit card.

I am staring at an account created in 2018, has had the Claim It button since first sales, and I just paid my fees using my pp balance (via automatic payment method) on Dec 31
This is not my only account like this.
Maybe this is not how things will be forever going forward, but this account certainly is not a one-off chance occurrence as I have more accounts with the same ability to pay fees with the Claim It button present. At least that's how things are for me at the moment.
But based on what everyone is saying, I won't be surprised if this luxury eventually disappears and I have to start paying with a credit card, so I am going to try to prepare for that.
