Shipping to china help

I shipped a faulty motherboard back to the manufacturer in China about a month and a 1/2 ago. Currently my package has been sitting in Chinese customs since November 24th. I have not heard anything regarding its status other than what I see when I check the tracking information. What are my options and what can I do?

How did you ship it? With insurance? USPS tracking? I would contact USPS and speak to a rep to see what can be done.

If you shipped with USPS there's a good chance the tracking will never show any updates past when the shipment enters the country. I've only shipped to China a handful of times, but I know that's how it works with a lot of countries.

Since the shipment is already in China I don't really think you have any options other than waiting it out and trying to communicate with the supplier, unless the shipment was insured.

I shipped an item to China that I wanted duplicated (ring) and it never showed up, so I had USPS inquire about it and 3-4 weeks later they basically told me it was lost somewhere in China. LOL

hmm the fact that the supplier told you to send it back means that you probably wont be getting your money back from them... Id look for another supplier.

Someone shipped a jacket to china and after 4 months waiting, it was rejected at the China customs. Last months I wanted to ship some defected electronics back to china and the couriers told me do not ship these items due to the fact that china customs clearance would be a problem.

Unless you know how to ship to China, exactly who you are shipping to, and your paperwork it order, it is best to eat the cost, try to get a replacement, or simply get a partial refund.

Yeah. Really easy to get them out of China, almost impossible to get them back in. I've had the same experience.
