I would not automatically choose the older or younger......I would put a test out on each of them and see how they respond to situations.......
when I used to play WoW in my older years back in 2006.....i recruited players to my arena team....it was really successful for me it was how they executed and how they played that was more intriguing to me........I had to deal with good players but had crap gear.......and bad players with the best gear.......
I chose the good players with crap gear.....because they got the job done right........it wasn't so much about appearance as it was about performance.....
Hire the younger guy. Being old gives you more life experience but that likely isn't related to the job you're hiring for. The younger guy will find it easier to learn more about his field.
some people are hella ignorant.....they think age equates to wisdom.......I had to deal with a lot of this in hawaii. In hawaii a lot of people were very disrespectful and not professional also did not provide clear training......
When I came back to california......it was the exact opposite......also the workplace environment was a lot more professional.....people treated others with a lot of respect.
