Irs tax id for amazon
Hello,
I am going to try and keep this as simple as possible because I more just want some clarification/insight on the TAX ID portion of Amazon Sellers when creating a stealth account.
I created a stealth account about 2 days ago. I used a separate address, separate CC, new bank account, as well as an EIN under the person whose name the account it was being created under. (We got this EIN by filing for a Sole Proprietor on the official IRS website)
The account is still live and active, but today when we logged onto the account, it says the "The tax identity information submitted for your seller account does not match IRS records. To prevent disruption to your seller account, click here to update your information. Learn more"
Its weird. The EIN that we input was definitely brand new and was never used on any other account. Also, the information that we input to the TAX ID interview section was correct and matches the information on the official IRS document. (I checked it many times to ensure it was accurate)
-Does anyone know why Amazon would respond by saying the information doesn't match?
Also, this account was created under a relatives name because my old account, that was attached to my name, was suspended. The reason I mention this is because about 1 month ago, I filed for an LLC under my name, not my relatives name.
- Although the LLC was formed and created under my name (which was suspended on Amazon), would it be safe to use?
- Would Amazon suspend this new Amazon Seller Account by relating the name attached to the LLC to my old suspended amazon account, if I were to use that?
I am just looking for opinions on my situation. Any and all accurate information will be gladly appreciated as I am trying to deal with this issue as soon as possible. I am looking forward to hearing back from all and I hope you have a great rest of your day!
