Default Limited for tax i.d

I know I asked before but will my stealth paypal reset in the new year. I got limited due to that tax i.d request. Basically got the second notice sold until limited. I'm hoping the account ain't toast because ..like a fool ..I did it with 2 other accounts which happen to be with the same bank. I'm really not looking to close those bank accounts only to open new ones down the road. It's one of the better banks for stealth. Not only that, the paypal accounts are aged pretty good

If the account is already limited I don't think it will just get unlimited on its own in the new year.

They reset the limit if the account was NOT limited.
In this case they gave you two warnings and you ignored them and kept on selling. Paypal will not get into a fight with the IRS just for you so they limited your account to prevent you from selling more. You gave them good reason to do so and they don't want to see that happen again this year.
Pretty sure your account will remain limited until you give them what theyre asking for - namely an EIN.

They have reset in past years during the next calendar year, even if they were limited for tax ID and unable to receive anymore payments.

This year in 2019 so far that has not happened. Whether it does or not we still do not know for sure, but as it gets later and later into the year it’s best to build new accounts rather than sitting around waiting for the old ones to become unlimited.

Hoping they do. I have quite a few accounts but the accountant in question are all from the same bank(coincidence) . I'd have to close accounts then open new ones down the road I guess. Not something I wanna do but if it happens it's my own fault for not just stopping sales at the 2nd warning. Lesson learned.
Already started 2 new accounts but I build em slow cuz ,anymore ebay just bans ya on the 1st offense if you're too new and mess up. Had it happen twice

I've only had a similar incident on one account in the past. I received some warnings and eventually hit the limit and wouldn't provide tax ID. I wasn't allowed to receive anymore payments, but my account wasn't limited in any other way. Not right away after the new year but some time soon after (maybe a few weeks or so) I was allowed to receive payments again. Can you still provide tax ID? If so, you should add a EIN. There's no reason not to- assuming you pay your taxes.

Got the same problem! Some people say that it will reset on late January but nothing happened. Do you think that could be reset next week?

I actually want to add EIN to em but I read on some posts on this forum that if the account was inactive for awhile it would have paypal wanting more info. These accounts that I have limited have been so for over 2 months . I'm really not looking to answer questions from paypal..lol. Hoping that they do eventually reset then I'll gladly add EIN to em. Forum...I'll be asking questions on the proper way..lol. Dont wanna spend $$ on LLC and have it burned

an EIN is free from the IRS website and takes little time to setup.

I don't remember exactly how long it took 2 years ago when I ran into this but I do know that it wasn't immediately after the new year. I remember trying to relist items on New Years Day and it wouldn't let me because of my paypal account status. It was probably 3-4 weeks after but I can't remember precisely how long. Couldn't have been more than a month though.

That is good news as long as it holds for this year too. I'm so glad to hear that.
As far as free EIN? Doesn't it have to be set as an LLC? I'm only saying it because that's how I've heard it. They're stealth accounts..everything is not me. If I've heard it wrong about LLC then that's awesome. I just want the smoothest transition possible. If an just an EIN can be set up with minimal ,if any , snags then I'm all for it. Any feedback on the process would be great.
