Default Wal-mart prepaid visas are worthless pieces of ****

They demand enough info to steal your identity to activate the card and they refuse to activate you without a social security card even if you claim not to be a US citizen they won't activate it.

They also have a $5 monthly fee first charged 10 days after purchase and $2 charge to talk to a real person.

Simon.com wouldn't activate my cards and then kept my money. I had to call many times after a month and threaten them with a chargeback to get them to refund me. I heard simon.com is down now like giftcards.com

Are you talking about the VCC or the actual GC?
The actual GC's even if they can't activate for online use (necessary to use them to register at EB and PP) should be able to allow you to make local purchases with them...after all they are a giftcard.

If you go to some of these check chasing places, they have prepaid mc that work great. That's what I used before I found Simon.

Aren't there quite a few more fees involved other than the $2 Simon?

These can be recharged though can't they(for a price)?

All I did to get started was to buy a 25.00 GC at a gas station. Listed or sold until it hit the 23.00 range. Stopped until invoice was paid and now set up to pay sellers fees via paypal.
Don't need another GC to pay the bill.

That's what I did too. Mine had no activation fee, just an extra $2 up front on top of what was put on the card. Who was the issuer?

Rechargeable?
If so what is the "load" fee?
Would be nice...get one of these "vanilla" cards. setup PP and EB accounts, send money from PP to the "vanilla" card, withdraw at ATM.

Anybody been able to set something like this up?

Where exactly did you get these? What stores specifically sell this vague "vanilla" things? Do they let you do anything online like enter a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address and change it whenever you want? Do they have monthly fees or transaction fees?
