Any chance I could use my SS# on a new PP?
Years ago (10+) when I first had my PP account limited and my funds kept ($3K+ worth... I wish I knew then what i know now...) part of what I thought was the agent "helping" me was when asked I gave them my SS#, DOB, faxed in drivers license, etc... Well, of course they weren't helping me do anything, and it cost me my life savings at the time. If it weren't for this site, I would have been toast since.
Fast forward 10+ years, I have a different address in a different state, different email, different everything with excellent credit, etc. ......but the same name, DOB, and SS# of course.
Is there a chance, if I were to make a new account with my new info and my name, that when they asked my DOB/Last 4 of SS#, that they will confirm that much but NOT link me to my 10-years-ago-account...?
Since they're just asking the "last 4" could it be that they are just going to confirm it with CURRENT public records, and not doing a search based on matching a full SS# to their previous records, or do you think it might go farther than that? I'd really like to be able to spend an available balance, do the experienced here think it would be worth trying...?
