New Account Requirements - ID Verification
Hello,
Recently I have been having some trouble creating ghost accounts as Amazon has been asking for a drivers licence or passport to verify the identity as part of the account application.
I have been looking for a way to bypass this but I haven't been able to come up with any kind of solution yet. What I did discover in my research was that there may be a pattern regarding Amazon's account verification requirements. I found that threads that were opened on this forum about this specific issue were clustered around certain dates.
5 threads were opened between July and November of 2017
2 threads in February of 2018
4 threads from June-July of 2018
2 threads opened today (02/20/2019)
I have opened 3 accounts in the past that have not required any verification;
December of 2016
September of 2018
December of 2018
I have also opened two different ghost accounts this week, both required ID verification.
Has anyone else picked up on what might trigger Amazon to implement the requirement of ID verification?
I can't wait till they switch back to the old way so that I can stock up on some new ghost accounts!
PS, this is definitely not a problem with account linking as all accounts have their own devices, IP addresses, Business addresses, CC ETC...
