There ya go, if you're going to invest in crypto - BitCanna and the growing cannabis industry could be a good one.
Should be a few years to come until federal legislation is changed to legalize growing it.
Next one to look for is DildoCoin, a runner-up for the sex toy industry.

It went limp :/
Guess it's to be expected since toys are legal, just 18+...
With more and more states legalizing marijuana I can only imagine people are going to become interested. Hardest hurdle to overcome is sourcing seeds and that's where anonymity and the internet step in |

What's the point in investing in a weed sh!tcoin when BTC is already used for everything cannabis related every day?

Lot of the EU seed banks (legal there for most part) dont have a crypto payment option, a few but not all US/CA do.
Handling cannibis money is considered money laundering by banks.
Royal Queen is accepting it in the future. All depends if more EU banks decide opt in - coin hasn't hit the market yet.

So instead of taking cash or bitcoin, the merchant would accept cannacoin which buyers have to buy in cash and the merchant has to cash out to cash.
This isn't the first weed coin and probably won't be the last. I don't see this going very far. Things are easy enough with current cryptos so there's really not a need for this. DNM's don't seem to be integrating any new coins and that's where most $ is spent currently, at least in the crypto-sphere. Just another group of kids trying to get rich with a gimmicky ICO, I think. Maybe I'm wrong and this'll explode.

It'll go as far as the demand for the coin. Depends on what seed banks do with it after, sell or HODL. Asking 12 cents a coin atm, even if it goes up to 50 cents it's a nice return.. and probably stable | The Following User Says Thank You to Sunspot144 For This Useful Post: | |

Just wanted to add something!
I dont think BitCanna will be immensely popular where Cannabis is legal (EU), maybe a little, idk how gov feels about Cannabis money in EU - @JamesNorth? :P
For merchants and customers where it is still illegal (US, CA, AU, etc) they'll enjoy using it.
Seed banks accepting crypto reward + encourage customers if they choose to pay with crypto. Lot of customer reviews say they tried paying with BTC for the first time and liked the benefits!

| They'll keep using BTC like they are using already. There is zero reason for anyone to switch to an unstable altcoin for transactions that are frequently $10k+.
The problem with most altcoins is their obscurity makes them hard to obtain. At least with BTC you have multiple options for buying and cashing out, plus your less-than-legal transactions are lumped on the blockchain with millions of other transactions. If this coin ever became popular it has the potential of becoming a public ledger for LE to use for tracking dealers, since presumably every transaction would be weed sales.
The developers will probably get rich but the chances of this becoming the new standard currency for buying weed are .00000000001%. Paragon, PotCoin, HempCoin, DopeCoin, CannabisCoin, Tokes, GreenMed, Cannation, Budbo, and BlazerCoin are all trying to do the same thing iirc.

Get your point.
The ledger for BitCanna will be public so EU gov can tax the transactions + is exchangeable for BTC, ETH, etc. Pretty sure that's why it might become accepted on EU seed banks (one big one will so far). Haven't seen the other alt coins or BTC accepted on EU sites, could be a few... I should research if those alts are/are not public.
Buuut US/CA etc will stick to BTC.
Why the eff EU seed banks dont widely accept BTC for US/CA customers is so strange.

Weeelll...
Top ranking seed bank (EU) in google search accepts the most alts + BitCanna soon but most others either accept only BTC for crypto payments or none at all so far.
Alts dedicated to an actual market. May lend to them increasing in value if they catch on if/before federal legislature legalizes cannabis.
