Default So... PayPal won’t let me remove my card, need advice!

My account history has been a little erratic lately, although I’ve already been soft limited and did what they wanted (gave me the option to verify phone number or upload ID, and change password. Obviously I choose to verify # over uploading my ID)

But I’m worried because my debit card is attached and there’s monies being move around am I’m scared they’re going to limit my account and then my card will start getting charged if things go sour because I obviously lose the money and therefore can’t make sales and stuff like that.

What’s my next step? Not log in for like 12 hours and hope then and if not ask chat support to remove it? Is this just a security block and will be lifted soon or what? And I can’t remember this ever happening but will PayPal just start charging my debit card if I go into neg or no?

All debit and credit card can replace as new card with new number . You need to call number at back of card and report lost . They send you new card new number on it . Forget a card linked to PayPal

what makes you think PAYPAL will charge your debit card?
Do you owe them money?

Like the other two have said, cancel your debit card and get a new one. Takes a few minutes but you'll have to live without your debit card for a week.

Once verified, Paypal doesn't check to see if a debit card has money in it. I have had a canceled card on my account for ages and they still show it as a payment option.

BTW, if you owe Paypal money, they give you a period of time to repay it before trying to pull money from your card/bank account. This should give you enough time to finish moving your funds (if you act quickly) and then report the card as stolen. Specifically tell them you think your card is being used for fraudulent Paypal transactions and make sure Paypal is specifically blocked from using that card/bank account again.

I have heard of banks, thinking they're doing you a favor, pay Paypal from a different non-linked bank account because you have had a number of previous similar transactions with them (they're trying to help expected transactions go through while you wait for new card - mistake!). Tell them not to allow Paypal to remove any funds from ANY of your accounts until you say so. Later, you can open new account and tell them the it's ok again.

BTW, accounts go way up in risk every time you change anything in your account like name, address, phone number, card, account number, etc. It's okay to add, but leave the old info there as a back up so if there are problems, you delete the current info and leave the previously verified old info up in its place.

a debit card does not carry any balance,it is just a way to access your bank account.
what Paypal can do is to charge your credit card.
