I had declared bankruptcy in May 2018. Last month eBay "blocked" my account. They won't officially tell me anything about why I'm blocked, and they say there's nothing they can do. One of the reps I talked to let it slip that it was due to the bankruptcy.
I've been on eBay for 10 years, have 99.5% positive feedback, actually owed them no money at the time of filing, and sold like $1000 worth of stuff between declaring bankruptcy and being blocked.
I'd just like to be able to sell the occasional household items that we don't use anymore and / or be able to bid on items.
Do I have any way to get unblocked?

Probably not on your real account since your credit report is indicating to them that you're a huge liability.
But you may be able to get a stealth account setup going. They're sold/discussed here.

I don't think I need to lol. This thread says it all.
Of course, this doesn't affect stealth accounts. Only accounts with SSN.

I wonder how eBay found out about the bankruptcy in the first place. Do you think they were notified by someone?

Right. We had a discussion a while back about PP and bad credit. I was just bringing it to Phaz's attention, that credit scores DO play a part in this stuff.

Very possible. However, I've seen it multiple times over the years for PP accounts.

That would cripple me!
I had a 90 day rolling reserve back in 2010 or so, but I think it was only 5%. Thanks goodness!

I really don't think eBay is pulling credit here. I have never heard of that, and if it were the case it would be a well established fact because they would be showing as (hard/soft) inquiries with the credit bureaus.
However, since bankruptcy is public record, eBay (or anyone else) can easily find out about it many other ways, such as using an information provider like Lexis Nexis.

Chapter 7 stays with you for 10 years. 13 for 7. May unban you after speaking with support. Would say they still reserve the right not to, since they know why you were banned to begin with. That sucks man. Have you considered other platforms?

There must be more ,Ebay does not suspend seller due to bankrutcy or bad credit,it is Paypal which cares,if OP has a credit line with Paypal or owes Paypal money.
Did OP pay his Ebay bills?
But if OP Paypal account is suspended, she would not be able to buy or sell on Ebay, until Ayden comes along

Paypal does check our credit, but not Ebay.but now with MP,it could be checking
There are sellers on EBay who have filed bankruptcy, poor credit rating,on disability, but are able to sell on EBay.
There must be more than just filing bankruptcy in your case, what do you sell,do you own your own merchandise,do you have too many chargebacks and dispute?
I recall an EBAY seller whose Paypal account was suspended,he was a retailer who has a merchant account to accept credit cards in his brick and mortar shop, ordered many items from his suppliers without paying, filed for bankrutcy and start selling those free merchanside from home.
Paypal must have looked up his merchant account status.
