Haven't they been going out of business for years now, or is that just certain locations?

no,sears.com is alive and well, the folks who man the site are in India.
I have an account for years ago, never sold a thing or list any,so when I heard people are making BIG money,I ask to have it reactivated.
It asks for a lot of documents, including my Ebay and Etsy listings, then retail license,Paypal 1099 and even bank account statement with the name of my store on it,my name is not good enough.
So I list a few items,it is not easy if you do it manually, then they told me I am missing some data,by then I gave up.
if you sell tools and electronics, you may want to take a look, esp tools

lucky you then. i have applied for 2 years straight, all i get is we're not accepting new stores. sears, walmart and jet are the last marketplaces to elude me. all respond with the same BS non-answers. sucks when you see competitors who you can easily destroy but some 9-5 monkey on the other side wont approve you because they nothing more than a thoughtless robot.

They even call me from India to discuss my shop, cant imagine they dont accept new apps.if you go to their site, they could use more third party sellers bringing in more merchandise.
what do you sell?
What I sell are mostly collectibles, not many will buy them on Sears.
They also want UPc code?like AMZN,if you can upload using some app,it is much easier than me entering item by item.

maybe i will try one more time with them then. the people who have responded to me in email spoke clear english using american names. i have never had the opportunity to get someone on the phone. just BS emails offering no help. everything i sell is low cost and very popular. if i manage to get through, i will update this thread since marketplaces like these are never talked about here.

yes,give it another try.
From the phone conversation ,they want AMZN third party sellers, unfortunately I only sell books and used dvds on AMZN.
Their fee is 17% ,and they remind me this is what AMZN charges, you would think if they want to steal sellers from AMZN,they would lower their rate.
I bought a heater from them recently, not from third party, but Sears.
Sears plan to open more stores stocking appliances and tools.

Ehhh... Sears filed bankruptcy and sold Craftsman (their tool brand) to Lowes last year.

They're all long-gone around here. The only kind of "Sears" stores that remain are independently owned appliance stores that never really had anything to do with the real Sears.

Unless they have a different holding corp for their ecommerce business, I don't know how they could pull that off.

"Yeah we're bankrupt so we'll have to stop paying all of our creditors but we'll just keep money rolling in online and hope the bankruptcy courts don't notice".

LOL, I'm not really sure about the details of their bankruptcy but I know it happened.

So you have a store in your area that hasn't been liquidated and closed down yet.

I wouldn't get too attached to it because Sears is an acknowledged sinking ship in the process of closing down.

I used to love going in as a boy and dreaming about having all the tools I couldn't afford.

Luckily, they closed down.. because I still can't afford them all!
