Default Just screwed up.

I had finally got a simon card and opened a new paypal account. I then went to get verified by entering the account and routing number and after submitting the info a notification can up saying that the account info has been used on another account and can't be used on this one.

I used the info from a reissued card with routing number. I had lost the original card I used on a suspended paypal account and they supposedly issued me a completely new one with a different number but I guess the account number stayed the same.

I assume this account will now become limited and I might as well forget about it correct?

Aye it happens. From NOW, make an excel spreadsheet of everything you do. To beat these rats, you have to out play them. Keep a log to safeguard yourself.

The spreadsheet must have every every details. Matter of fact there wasw a thread yesterday about its merits.http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-di...passwords.html Read that

That's exactly what I am doing now is making an excel spreadsheet to keep tract of everything.

I am opening a total of 3 so I definitely need to keep tract of what I am doing.

I just opened another paypal account and instead of adding a credit card I used the routing and account number from a different debit card. I also opened an ebay account with the same info and I will make it a seller account after I verify my bank account info.

Yup, I usually do it in this order

1- Create eBAY account
2- Create Paypal Account
3- Verify Paypal Account
4- Link eBAY and Paypal Account
5- Verify eBAY account (by phone)

then you're off to sell. Three acounts will be easy to track. Just have a windows user account for each. Keep track of everything for all three, make sure you write each IP you get, to avoid conflicts.

You'll be fine!

You saying it's better to create an ebay account first, then paypal. I created the paypal first then used paypal to create an ebay seller account. It that ok?

I do have separate windows user accounts for them as well.

That's how I got my last paypal limited was by linking to ebay without being verified. I have 600 on that account. I knew I shouldn't do it that way but I was having troubles getting a bank account. I have it all figured out now thanks to eBay Stealth.

I created my Paypal account as part of the Ebay account creation process. Hope I didn't screw up in doing this. I don't intend on selling anything until I've verified Paypal though.

I am creating an excel spreadsheet to manage my accounts as you all have suggested but I was just wondering how safe it is to have all that information stored on my PC. Passwords, login info ect.

Wouldn't it be easy for a hacker to get that information from your computer.

A hacker could get into a computer. Would one try to hack yours? Can you be proactive in reducing a threat? Of course. In this thread there are several options mentioned http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-di...passwords.html
Our super stealth users may make a contribution as well

Computers are hacked for a variety of reasons with a purpose, such as to steal credit card details for fraudulent use or a list of e-mail addresses for the purpose of unsolicited e-mail.

There are a variety of tools and methods used by hackers. No matter what tools they use, there is one thing that remains true that the hacker cannot change. They must access your information through your internet connection. As with viruses, the hacker-blocking software (firewall) monitors these connections for any abnormal activity. It alerts the user to this abnormal activity, block the connection, destroying the link between the hacker's computer and yours, preventing them from accessing your data.

Many security software have firewall, this should take care of low to med level hackers. High-level hacker would not be interested in your spreadsheet or password, they have higher goals and like to focus on some tough targets, for ex: CIA ......

My eBAY spreadsheet is encrypted...

Safeguard your Office 2007 files with encryption, document protection, and digital signatures

I have ample protection against hacks, in the case I'd be hacked, the document would be very difficult to retrieve... office encryption isn't homeland security proof but it will hold very well
