How to get away with duplicate listings? What are duplicate listings?
Duplicate listings are two or more listings for items that have no significant difference between them. Even if your listings have some material difference, they will be considered duplicate if they appear to be the same item in search results.
If you have similar listings, make sure you clearly show the differences in all relevant sections of your listing such as the title, description, price, condition, photo, subtitle, or in the item specific detail. Make sure you use relevant item specifics, and include product identifiers like UPCs and MPNs when applicable, to differentiate your items and boost visibility.
I see a lot of sellers having duplicate listings that are insanely identical. I don't to take a chance with my account and fall foul to the duplicate listing policy in case some competitor reports me to eBay.
What I have in mind is to give each listing its own unique photos, description and item's specifics. However, many keywords in the title will be shared among these listings as that is essential for them to appear in search... Do you think that such similarity in title will bring me trouble?
Any advice on how to get away with duplicate listings?
