Activity: 0% Longevity: 19% | | Section 3 code of conduct and dropshipping violation
Hi, anybody ran into this?
Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of Amazon's Business Solutions Agreement. Your listings have been removed.
Why did this happen?
We took this measure due to your violation of Amazon’s Seller Policies and Seller Code of Conduct https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/G1801, and your violation of the Amazon Drop Shipping policy https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/G201808410.
any chance to get this account back?

I've heard of reinstatements in certain cases but the PoA would have to be quite strong. Section 3 is tough.
Where were the items being drop shipped from and was the price markup quite high? Assuming it was a customer who eventually complained?

Dropshipping is permitted if done correctly. Which of their (strict) criteria do you think you fell foul of?
Or were you engaging in retail arbitrage where you where getting a retail store to fulfil your orders? If its this then the account is toast.

Indeed, I'm going to stick my neck out and say their dropshipping policy does not vary based upon category unless you have a link to the contrary.

dropshipping by your wholesaler/distributor is fine ,no one expects a retailer to stock every item in store, like lawn mower, air conditioner, tractor!
but taking customer money and ask another retailer to ship for you is not dropshipping,it is retail arbitrage, both Ebay and AMZN frown on such practice

Could be that dropshipping of certain times of items is probably considered more risky then others as the goods are never in the hands of the actual seller, i.e. baby items, food, etc...
Anything that could pose a risk of physical harm would be more on the radar then clothing or something along those lines.
The fact the OP hasn't even responded yet isn't very encouraging either lol.

Of course this is true, but dropshipping itself is already an added risk

| That's the whole point of dropshipping. It's nothing to do with the goods, it's a breach of their strict criteria/policy.
I'm going to stick my neck out and say it's retail arbitrage.

There was actually no complaints. I am assuming it was linked to a previous account.

Out of curiosity, what do you think would've made them link the account, were all the products the exact same as the previous account or something?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! | The details are different, same IP. The account was running fine for like 4 months and got shutdown after. The previous account had been FBM deactivated for dropshipping , but can still sell FBA. Its sucks that they just decided to link after 4 months...
I saw it coming

I saw it coming | That's rough and in the back of all of our minds I'm sure, wish it'd be faster and just get it over with rather then giving hope for 4 months and pulling the rug out from under you.
Live to fight another day though: New Computer, New Phone #, New CC, New Bank Acct, New IP, etc...

done from a retail store.
Your buyer could have reported you when he sees the return address of that store,is it Target,Kohl's?
Many small brick and mortar retailers sell on AMZN
