If you're a sole proprietor, you wouldn't be running a business under your own name on the bank account it would be a business name. I just think it looks a lot better as a company name added into the 'name' section, even if the bank account is personal.
James291 - dont worry too much, just my personal opinion, carry on as you are. | Hey Callidus - I think ure completely right about this.
I think my account was shut down recently because of this issue.
I changed my name on the Amazon account bank section from my name to the company name but with the same account number.
A few days later the account was deleted.
This was my first and only account so they couldn't have linked me but they must have thought that I had another account because i stupidly did this mistake with the bank account.

"Add a bank account immediately - you have your bank in your REAL NAME at Barclays for example, when it asks you to enter the name on the bank usually you enter the stealth name...DONT...if you're using a PRO account enter the business name used on the Amazon. "
I am confused.
Do you mean that on bank account section on Stealth account I have to put my real name? But wouldn't this link me to my old suspended account?

Callidus is saying the way he does it he adds the business name on amazon, so Barclays account my be J SMITH t/a Stealth Goods, so he would enter stealth goods as the name for amazon settings.
What I do, I guess is similar , if my amazon selling name "snowboard pro" I would enter that as the name of the bank account even though I don't have that name on any bank account as most banks accept mis matched names.

Hhhmmm that gets interesting
I remember reading in the Amazon Ghost book that minor name mismatching is fine like for example change from robert smith to bob smith
Now you guys say that for most recommended banks it is ok to completely change the name...for example bank name is "john smith" and for amazon enter "snowboard pro"?
Unless I understand something wrong this is more than just mismatching...it is still ok to do that?

Yes fantomas0405, as long as the banks accept mismatched names. All major UK high street banks are fine and most major US banks.

yesterday I went to open new checking account in small bank and I specifically asked them if they will accept deposits from Amazon, eBay etc, if I have different name on there site.
Bank said, - "as far as they have your CORRECT routing and account number - you are ok".

Thats correct, if all numbers matching and then the ACH deposit will credit your account. Banks computers don't look at names, to many variations with spelling errors etc. Hope it helps.

Applies on this forum and in real life.

What happened is someone in support said the bank account should match the company name on the Amazon account.
The name on the bank account was the personal name on the account rather than the company name.
I changed the personal name to the company name and believe this is what caused my account deletion as I left the bank account number the same..

Long time lurker/reader, decided to finally give a post. I don't know about the rest if you guys, but Amazon has been absolutely relentless in killing off my accounts. Out of 10 accounts I have made in the past two weeks, only two have stayed alive. The accounts that get banned/deleted after one day, don't even have inventory or anything along those lines. Amazon is just on a killing spree at this time of the year, this is the only explanation I can come up with. It would be much better to wait until next month to start creating accounts. Just my two cents. Nice forum, btw.
