I have forgot one of my account :( I remember that I empty my inventory before put it to sleep mode but didn't pay attention on the pending order. Just go back to it and there is 1 unship order we place back in mid August :(

What I do with this order now?

For 30 days I haven't sold anything on this account.
- If I ship it now the late shipping rate will jump to 100%
- If I cancel now the cancellation rate will jump to 100% also

- Can I just leave it hang in there?
- Can I do confirm shipping back to the early date with a old never submit tracking number? (I know this is cheating but this may be an option here)

Please give me some advice.

Very interesting situation.... no AZ claim, no refund, no customer complaining ?

my suggestion is, ship item overnight, apologies to customer and say you were sick or some thing (so you don't get negative)... submit tracking honestly...

list 20 items, and sell in 7 days and ship right away ! ... your late shipping rate would be very low then.

strange.. maybe buyer forgot he purchased this item... bullsh!ting with tracking might lead to AZ Claim or negative fb, which is more trouble...

keep in mind as soon as you put tracking in buyer will get a notice of shipment..

Anyone know how long will Amazon automatic cancel the order if seller not ship it? I just want to leave it there till Amazon cancel this item I think

Canceling Orders

You can use Manage Orders to cancel any order that has not yet shipped. You can cancel the order from the list of orders, or you can cancel an order from an order detail page.

When you cancel an order, you must choose a reason.
Note: When you cancel an order, Amazon Payments will send an order cancellation e-mail to your customer. All orders for which Amazon has not received shipping confirmation within 30 days from the date of the order will be automatically canceled by Amazon Payments. We will notify you 25 days after the initial order date that the order will automatically be canceled in 5 more days unless you ship the order and confirm the shipment.

Click the Orders link, and then click Manage Orders. The Search Results page appears.
On the line showing the order you want to cancel, click Cancel Order. The Cancel Order Confirmation page appears.
Select the appropriate reason code and then click Cancel Order. The order is canceled.

Note: When you click the individual order ID and see the order detail page, click Cancel Order to display the Cancel Order Confirmation page.If you cancel an order, you must use the Cancel button in Manage Orders for each order you cancel. If you do not explicitly cancel an order by using the Cancel Order button, we will not know you canceled the order.

Might be a long time before amazon cancels order (and this will effect your ODR, as pre cancellation rate will jump over 2.5%)

amazon know some items come directly from china... taking around a month... some don't even have tracking..

I have seen product (custom made chairs) where seller mentions will take 4-5 weeks to ship!

But the buyer DID NOT cancel it and there is no record of communication between buyer/seller

yeah I know they didn't cancel it but this is the way that has the least chance of a problem. So far there is no negative and no A-Z - the buyer will get refund and you won't get punished.

reason :buyer cancel, might earn him a negative ...which would be 100% negative feedback ( as he didnt sell any thing else)... bringing ODR to 100 % !!!


its hard to get feedback on amz, I would try to avoid neg feedback.

BTW what is the $ amount for the order?

I don't think buyer remember this order, but any update will refresh their memory... handle this carefully.

IF you are cancelling order, make sure you commentate with buyer 1st.. make excuse's and let them agree to cancel.

Is there a telephone number with the shipment details ?
You could telephone and explain that you were sick and ask them to send you a cancellation request as you are unable to fulfil the order.

If there is no number, Maybe you could email them and explain that there is a problem with the order and request a contact number in order to speedily resolve the problem.

You could also tell them you apologise for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation, you will send them a small gift for free and thank them for their patience and understanding - Thereby reducing the chances of a neg.

If you do decide to complete the order - Include the free gift.

Any action by you before contact from customer may create a bad situation.

Maybe wait for customer to email you asking about item. Then apologize that item was lost in in your AZ queue, and you will ship next day for AZ's error.

If they are not a real prick (a-hole), they may understand and give you positive feedback.

Maybe include a 'freebee' for the error, along with their item purchased.

Just my 1.8 cents worth.

If you ship without the buyer's consent, they may open a claim later that will bite you in the butt. They will definitely win the claim if you're shipping outside the window. Personally, I would notify them and come up with a realllyy good excuse like.... the item was returned due to an undeliverable address or something, please provide a different address.

Yes, you can mark 'shipped' without tracking.

But customer still gets email from AZ the moment you hit the 'mark shipped' button.
