Activity: 0% Longevity: 76% | | Can eBay link photos from same camera
Hi Guys
I am new to this forum, but far from new to the pains of eBay and PayPal and their little dictatorship. The stealth guide has finally given me the info I was missing to have my anonymity preserved (and with hundreds of suspended accounts I need it LOL). I've waved goodbye to my powerseller accounts, my 1000+ feedback accounts and am all ready to start afresh, this time properly.
My question is about photos - can eBay trace photos taken with the same camera or will I need to use a different camera for each account?
Look forward to your replies

They can see the resolution, make and model of the camera, etc.
Find an EXIF tag remover for your photos.
I use one.

Yes they can and DO Link accounts that use the same Pictures. You DO NOT Need another Camera
As posted above you MUST remove all the Metadata (EXIF Data) check out this link it will help you understand it a Bit better. How to remove EXIF Data
Good luck

I use one. | I strongly doubt exif data can trigger bans. Thousands of people uses the same camera and may snap with the same settings. Such tracking method would be incredibly inaccurate and ineffective.

I use it because I spread one particular item over 14 accounts.

REMOVE the data from your pictures.
There is more than resolution, make and model of the camera in the data.
You would be surprised....
How about your GPS location.
Yes that is in there also if you are using a newer digital camera.

You can get a Suspension for Copyright Infringment if you copy the Photo from a Website or even another Ebayer, and you can get suspended for being linked to a Suspended account,,,
These Methods are VERY Accurate,,a Cameras EXIF Data has the ability to Identify a Specific Camera, Better and more ACCURATELY than Fingerprints can for a Specific Person
BOTH Have Happened to Me,,and Both More than Once and ALL of it 100% Verifiable
Please for the sake the Members here if you are NOT 100% SURE of your "Facts" Do NOT Post your information as a FACTUAL
It will only wind up with Members getting into Trouble and "Bad Blood"

I believe it would be very rare for an account to go down because of this.
Not saying it would never happen but it would be rare to happen.
Perhaps something else that would trigger this issue.

I change all of my photos on every account, and use JStrip on every account for every photo.

I use Exif Tag Remover - it has a quick drag and drop interface - shareware version only lets you do 1 file at a time - its handy as an extra prog
Now I discovered Jstrip from poster above, I use them both
Jstrip is fun and had benefits as you can do a whole folder!!! - yeah
For only 1 file, I personally find exif tag remover is the one for me with its simple interface
Thanks

I work hard to get good accounts going, and there is no way I'd run the risk of losing them over a photo!!!

It was for the benefit of others reading this thread that I was considering.
I have no problem if that's what you wish to do, but I don't think it's a good thing to be encouraging others to do.
Or letting others think it's okay to use photos from a previous suspended account.
And you never know, it may come back to bite you one day.

Since joining, I have decided to clean my pictures.
It only takes seconds and for me, whether it does work or not, gives me peace of mind and I can sleep peacefully at night.
Thanks to everyone for all the info - oh. in the past I have used same pictures etc. and nothing happened ever, but I still clean out.
