Yep, using ING with Paypal will cause your account to become limited. It's time to move on. WaMu is a working alternative.

I tried that with WAMU ... savings and checking linked. Same account number with leading zeros. Paypal only accepts one of the accounts as a new one.

Same thing with linked B of A Savings and Checking accounts.

HI guys:
I have been with Wamu for a couple years now,, just recently started using them for eb + pp.. heres what I did:
a.) Initially get set for only $50-- they place $30 into a ck acct, and $20 into a sav acct + they give you Free checks for life, and a Visa Debit card
b.) Then, I called and opened 5 of my kids savings accts, young savers--I placed $50 into each of these
c.) I can use all these for eb and pp--
d.) They just sent me an offer for their plat m/c, I accepted, its no annual fee, and you get rewards/pts with it.
e.) I had my mom open an acct--she started with a ck./sav acct-
f.) Then, once her debit card arrived, she opens 9 savings accts fro her grandchildren,
(I funded this--as i wanted to use it)--

So-now I have access to 2 debit cards, 2 ck accts, and 15 savings accts!!
>> All in less than a month...

YOu can do this for your neices/nephews/grand children/children, etc...

BTW--they also have after 3 months a min of $100 in savings with no fee--so heres how you get around this:

>> You gotta call to do this--

a.) Call and tell them you want to auto deduct $5 bucks month from your ck acct to your sav acct--ech month--when they do this--you will see their $5 serv chg/then you will see your deposit/transfer, then you will see the credit for the svc chg--so youre actually getting the savings for free.** I do nto live near any Wamu--I called a branch in NY--got the asst mgrs name, He allowed me to mail in a check from my bank for a deposit-
So- I mailed in a deposit to my main acct- Then i can xfer withn wamu--also Wamu did not hold my out of state check..
AND-- I have on line access

Question, what if you dont have kids. Could you make some up "magiclly"? Like I called and said I wanted a savings account for so and so do they need verification? Or they want the money like modee said. Do you need to transfer 5 dollars to each savings account or just one to get them all free?

No, Modee, all of the Paypal accounts I have that are being used with ING are still up and running! Not just unlimited, but with traffic flowing through them daily!

However, you are right. But lets take a look at the circumstances:

Paypal has about 10,000 new sign ups per day, correct? And how many more are adding a bank account each day? This makes it impossible, I think, to verify the account names and such on each account unless they have an automated system. And even then, there are things such as DBAs that probably can't be checked through an automated system.

So my theory, according to what you have said, is that yes, ING will share information with Paypal, but ONLY if there is a dispute or anything that looks fraudulent. It seems far too impractical to be able to verify so much information.

This might be a stupid question... but why not use your real name when registering for PayPal?

Is this sharing of information just for ING or is this something new with all bank accounts being registered with paypal?

This bank account is disabled for entry into the PayPal website. Please add a different bank account instead.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driver's license or other photo I.D. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780.

how soon did you get that message? Was it instant after you entered your bank info. Or did you get that 2 days after. Just curious as you may have tripped up somewhere. Also when did you open this account?

Default PayPal Verification

Hi Guys! I just finished reading Stealth and have maintained an active acct on Ebay and PP under my sisters name for over a month ( i could't use mine because I was susspended). I need to verify my PP acct. I do not want to use her bank account to verify PP. Stealth recommends using your own, "since they do not verify who acct belongs to". Problem is is that I do not believe that 100%.

Please help.

One more question, can I add my emial address (AOL) that is linked to my Ebay and PP acct to my blackberry phone?

Is this a paypal issue or an ING issue? There's a big difference.
