That said, here's the deal on creating and operating Ebay/PayPal accounts using cell phones.
PRO'S:
1. Kills a few birds with one stone. You get an IP, real phone number, unique camera
and unique operating system with a cell phone...all in one. Everything you need for an unsinkable account.
2. Low upfront cost. Many prepaid android phones are free or little cost, monthly billing for talk, text and enough data start at around $25 per month. The only upfront expense you have besides the phone and a month of service is the VCC needed to verify PayPal account. No need for PC, Laptop, camera,
VPN, etc.
3. Quality mobile IP pools (using sprint, t-mobile, Verizon, at&t networks) are trusted more than data center IP's that you would get from purchasing a
VPN, therefore less likely to raise flags with PayPal and Ebay upon account creation.
4. Allows you to use both Ebay and PayPal apps and allows you to monitor your accounts at work when you are away from home. Replying to emails and messages is a breeze. Calling Ebay or PayPal if needed is a breeze (no need to spoof or worry about phone number mismatch)
CON'S:
1. You can only safely operate one account per phone. Phones are very intrusive, trying two or more on a single phone will link each account everytime.
2. Annual cost of service at $25 per month is $300 vs. $120 for a fresh dedicated
VPN you would use when operating accounts on a PC or laptop. Operating 10 accounts a year will cost you $3000 and you'll have more phones lying around your house than a drug dealer.
3. Although Apps help, they are limited on Ebay features you just won't have using a browser on a PC. Listing is fast and easy on a phone, but creating nice listings with fonts, colors and professionalism is tough on an android app.
4. Your stealth account location should be at most 30 miles away from where you are logging into your phone. This means creating your own accounts instead of purchasing an account (which likely will be far away). As stated earlier, phones are intrusive, they know where you are! It's a good thing as it builds trust, bad if you're trying to operate an account in a different state or country.
Also remember, you get what you pay for. The cheapest mobile network suppliers have the highest risk of getting an abused telephone number or banned IP pool. You may find yourself paying $35, $45 or even $50 a month for enough data and a quality service provider. Deals are out there, but you gotta spend some time and find them. You'll want to make sure you have nice margins on your sales or operating expenses will kill you (just like any business)
Important: Disable WIFI from your phone and NEVER touch it. Use data only, otherwise every advantage a seperate phone account gives you is wasted as you will link something somewhere.
