Ebay App (Android) does it acquire more data than a mobile phone browser?

I use eBay for buying, I spend around 50k a year, but had trouble with a bad seller , so I have been banned in the past, I prefer the eBay app compared with a mobile browser.

But I am wondering does anyone know if the app takes more user data from the phone? The phone I am currently using, was recently used on the banned account.

Or is the app just as safe/risky to use as my mobile browsers on the same phone?

Does use your old phone at all that was banned. Regardless if you use a browser or eBay app.

Old thread but mobile browser is much better than the app because the browser has better privacy protections, while the app does not.
