The REAL Truth is that EVERY Common Account has a Selling Limit, whether you see it Posted or not, It has ALWAYS been like that, anyone who thinks otherwise is Foolish,
I remember Back in the day as soon as you sold $750.00 in a Month you got an MC999 and a Phone call asking you for supplier Recipts, I have always felt that Ebay Showing us our selling limits was the BEST thing that they ever did for Sellers, Now you KNOW where the Line is, you NEVER knew in the Past,

There will be and there are sellers, who sell without tripping limits.
Many & varied are they. There is criteria within place with ebay that pemits this.
There is an infamous algorithm extant.
Simples.

i definitely ain't calling them to curb my curiosity to see what my limit is. Ain't broke... don't fix it
or in my case... don't bring any attention to something thats already working
i have 1 le git account, couple stea lths running nicely...a couple more in the early process.
my main account has about 400-450 listings
i use color and size variations for them all...which raises the amount of items i have for sale drastically.
at he bottom of the e bay page where it says the amount of items and the amount of money i have listed is .....wayyy high. hundreds or thousands...
this is all because of the variations
if i do have a limit .......its got to be ???..........
i just wouldn't have any idea......a million....lmmfao...not calling to see...
wish i could them to limit me about 10 accounts like that...i'd be all done in a couple years.
the two others thats been running for about 14-16 months are still in great shape....300 items,,,$5000.....no variations on these buggers...dern-it
good luck

I have several accounts from 2008 and 09 that don't display any selling limits. However, I am sure any extreme surge in sales would cause both eBay and paypal to react.

Activity: 0% Longevity: 79% | | Absolutely all of the old accounts have limits?
Most of new accounts have limits now, and I have heard of old established accounts having limits placed, even for no reason (I have heard of the nasty "MC999 Your Selling Limits Have Changed" eMail popping out of the blue vintage accounts in excellent standing). In fact, speaking with the customer service last year, they said that all accounts had limits.
My question is, do all kind of seller accounts have limits now? I mean old/new, Below Standard/Top Rated, poor/100% feedback, 2/5 DSR accounts?

I never had the faintest idea. I have 2 accounts with no visable limits and just assumed they were free and clear. Both high rolling accounts as well

Ok my experience they do exists they are just EXTREMELY rare.
I personally made one about 5 months ago...it is gone now of course lol. Cause I sometimes dabble in vero items which is the quickest way to get attention drawn and maybe even suspended over time. But the real reason I lost it is cause I got sick went to the hospital had surgery the whole nine yards which caused me to be WAY behind on my sales and everything was shipped late delivered late so on so I got some negative fb for this and my star for shipping dropped drastically. So next months review I GOT A LIMIT PLACED ON IT and was only able to sell 110 items
So it went from having NO LIMITS to getting limits because of the customer metrics so to speak dropping.
So they do actually exists and if you keep it up and ship immediately and try and stay away from vero items it can stay that way.

I also just wanted to say...I think the issue here is YES there is ALWAYS limits...There always has been. But I think what I am referring to and what some other people are as well, is that this new method that ebay has been using the last year or so with going on your my selling page and SEEING you have limits, 10/$500, 30/$2000, 110/$5,000
SO ON is and was new, the accounts that we are referring to are the ones that we now currently create and see NOTHING there on the my selling page. No numbers, no chart telling us how many more listings we can list, or we reached our amount of $$ that we can list.
As far as that YES getting accounts that do not have those limits is possible. But the old version and methods of ebay is still in place.
I dont know if that makes sense...it did in my head lol

who the hell knows. I am here because I did over 100 K in 9 days. got momentarily limited and then did another 150 k in the next 12 days..yes 250 k in the 3 weeks! relitively unlimited.... to an extent. yes to what ever degree you make it there are unllimited accounts.... my thoughts, and my opion is we are here because we don't always do it right..... My account was small compared to what the account reps I spoke with deaing with these size acconts told me.

I started selling on Ebay in 2000. I had zero troubles selling about $12,000 to $30,000 a month for about 8 years straight.
Troubles started later.

There is no such thing as no limits. Not on eBay and not elsewhere. If there were accounts with no selling limits, you could list 10 billion listings. Now, will eBay let you lost 10 billion items? No. So obviously, there is no such thing as no selling limits.
They may be higher or lower, but there are limits to everything somewhere.

I received my first limits about two years ago after 8 years of selling. They made us end half our listings and we had to relearn to do business with 3800 items and $1,000,000.00 and it was a challenge ever since lol Before that we were what ebay called "White Screen" with no limits or category limits.

yes i have to agree, I have seen old accounts with no issues or visible selling limits.
but......
you would virtually be able to take over ebay with one of these accts. and eventually it would be flagged and limited.
