it is doable, but not advised.
with multilogin you can make your life a lot easier (and cheaper) when using proxies, not VPN.
you can assign a different proxy in every browser profile and not have the hassle with reconnecting to different VPNs.
the assigned proxy for that profile will load when the browser starts.

i tried it couple of months ago, the issue i was having with it was it clears cookies and history on every session login even when i set it to save and store cookies.
